Not only is Fabricate open, but our entire East End Neighborhood is buzzing with excitement. There’s extra outdoor seating at our East End restaurants, The East End Art Walk is happening through September 7th, and there are weekly pop-up shops all around the 'hood. Please read on for a preview of the exciting new fabrics, kits, and crafting opportunities Fabricate has coming your way.

We’re so thankful for the continued support of our local community as well as our out-of-town visitors who’ve started to return. We’re grateful to have the world-renown University of Colorado in our backyard and we welcome the return of the CU students and their families. We continue to offer curbside pickup on our porch and same-day shipping on all orders received before 2 pm  Shop at online Fabricate.

Learn to make knit a super soft and cozy scarf trimmed with pompoms. Knitted in a simple garter stitch using 
Wool And The Gang Alpacino Merino, a blend of luxurious alpaca and merino yarn. This class will be in person, on our porch. Class size limited to four participants.

Our weekly Thursday Knit Nights are taking place on our shop's lovely front porch. We'll be social distancing and wearing masks. Drop by anytime between 4:00 - 6:00 with a knitting project to join our lively discussions, stitch demonstrations Q + A, and a glass of wine or tea! Led by Knitting genius Jenifer Sher.

NEW AT FABRICATE
One of our favorite fabric designers, Sarah Golden, has just released her latest collection, Perennial. Sarah is an artist and surface pattern designer living in Sacramento, California. Block printing is her forte. Each design begins with a drawing, which she then transfers to a rubber block, that is carved, inked, and finally printed.

Who is adding jobs regionally during the pandemic? COVID-19 has also prompted some companies to alter their product line. Fabricate Inc., a fabric boutique and sewing studio in downtown Boulder, previously brought in 50% of its sales through classes. Among other things, Fabricate started sewing masks to help mitigate canceled in-person gatherings.  Read More >>

This exhibition at the V & A will present the kimono as a dynamic and constantly evolving icon of fashion, revealing the sartorial, aesthetic and social significance of the garment from the 1660s to the present day, both in Japan and the rest of the world. Opening on Thursday, 27 August 2020
