Inaugural International Women, Gender and Violence Conference

This month, SISH hosted the Inaugural International Women, Gender and Violence Conference at FIU. A resounding success, the conference brought together nearly 200 researchers, community activists and service providers to advance integrative solutions to violence. The Keynote Address featured Lynn Rosenthal, White House Advisor on Domestic Violence (pictured above), who spoke on ending violence against women and girls, and the future of the movement. The conference is part of the Women, Gender and Violence Initiative housed under the Center for Women’s and Gender Studies.
