Guidelines for Mass Attendance

The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

The Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is celebrated on August 15, and is a Holy Day of Obligation for all Catholics to attend Mass.
Although, in the United States, if the Solemnity falls on a Saturday or a Monday it is not obligatory by the Church to attend Mass, meaning this year the Feast of the Assumption is NOT a Holy Day of Obligation.

However, Catholics are encouraged to keep the day holy by attending Mass.

Come and join in prayer as we honor Holy Mary, Mother of God.

Masses will be celebrated on Friday, August 14, at 6:30 pm,
and on Saturday, August 15 at 8:00 am.

(Note: sign-up for both Assumption masses will close at 3:00 pm on Friday, 8/14)
