Instagram hacked by 10-year-old boy
Today the BBC reported: "A 10-year-old Finnish boy named Jani has been given $10,000 (£7,000) after he found a security flaw in image-sharing social network Instagram." The young hacker who even cannot use Instagram "discovered a bug that allowed him to delete comments made by other users."
As we at Genius Owl have always said, hacking is not just about gaining access to other computers illegally. It's about creativity, thinking out of the box, learning and having fun!
In this case Jani is going to have a lot of fun with his £7,000, which he says he is going "to use the money to buy a new bike, football equipment and computers for his brothers."
We all should prepare our children for the future in which digital technology and the Internet play a major role. Genius Owl is proud to offer Summer Camp Programs that encourage creativity in children, and prepares them for the competitive future job market.
