Amanda Meier chosen to be the Coordinator of The Conversation Project in Boulder County
The Conversation Project in Boulder County celebrated its 6th Anniversary in May of this year. The community’s hunger for information about end-of-life matters does not show any signs of being satiated. Requests for presentations continue to flow in.

We are excited about the newly-formed partnership with TRU Community Care and the choice of Amanda Meier to serve as the Project’s Coordinator. She brings an abundance of organizational, clinical and public speaking skills. The familiar voices that you have been hearing will not be going away. We will stay on as volunteers presenters and coaches to support this Project. Welcome Amanda.

From Amanda . . .

I am excited to join TRU Community Care in partnership with The Conversation Project in Boulder County as project coordinator.

I am a social worker and gerontologist with a history of more than five years working in both long-term care and rehabilitation. In these settings, I have gained experience with chronic illness case management, end-of-life issues, and advance care planning.

The end-of-life process and death are avoided topics in our culture. I truly believe that encouraging people to think about personal values and to communicate them to their loved ones opens the door to changing perceptions about end-of-life. I look forward to getting out in the community to empower people to take charge of their own decision-making journey!
