UNECE Ministerial Conference on Ageing: Call for proposals for a poster exhibition on older people in emergency situations

Emergency situations place older people at risk of being left behind, unable to access essential services or meet their basic needs. However, older people also play active roles in emergency situations as carers, producers, protectors, change advocates, and more.

How do we protect and support older people in emergency situations? The United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) is calling for poster proposals on the topic to be exhibited at the upcoming Ministerial Conference on Ageing in Rome (15-17 June 2022).

The submission deadline is 20 April 2022.

New on the Decade Platform: Topic hub for social isolation and loneliness

Social isolation and loneliness among older people are growing health, social, and economic concerns. To address these issues, we need to know and do more. How can we work together improve older people's access to social connections? What work is being done around the world in the area? What is still missing?

A new topic hub on social isolation and loneliness is now available on the Decade Platform in English, presenting the latest knowledge shared by contributors.

Can you help us make the hub more useful by sharing your details and knowledge? We are especially looking for contributions in French and Spanish!
