Our Dear Friend,
As I sit here writing on a dark, wet, Wednesday morning with a fresh brewed cup of steaming coffee, I cannot help thinking about two things. I often wonder what it will be like in Chuuk. Will there be the same routine? When will it start to feel like living there is finally normal? What will each day hold? I'm not necessarily one for the cold, but it is nice to wake up in the early hours of a cold morning, sip on a hot cup of coffee, and spend time with our Savior. I wonder if it will feel the same way in Chuuk even though it is constantly hot? Sarah and I often talk about what adventures lie ahead.
The other thing that I often think about is you! You also get up early in the morning to go to work so that part of your hard earned money can support Sarah and me. Thank you. Without your sacrifice, the 50 islands of Chuuk may never have had the opportunity to have churches on them. Sarah and I are honored that you are part of this ministry.
When is God not abundantly good? Whether He answers our prayers the way that we desire them to be answered, or whether He answers them in His own fashion, He is still good. Sarah and I have now reached 39.5% and we give all glory to the Lord for that! Throughout January, we had several meetings in which the churches expressed a desire to pray about supporting us, and just this past Sunday we finished up a marvelous missions conference at Maranatha Baptist Church in Yorktown, VA. God blessed in each of these meetings, and we are excited to see how He will lead these churches.
Thank you for your continued prayer and support! Below this portion of the letter, you will see a button that says, "Let us know how we can pray for you." Please do not hesitate to click on that button. It will send an email directly to us. We want to pray for you. Just as we desire for you to pray for us as we are on our way to fight the battle in Chuuk, we want to pray for you in specific ways as you fight the battle in your area. We are grateful to the Lord for you. Keep in the fight!
Until the Islands Know Him,
Josh and Sarah Wagar
