Commit. Trust. Act.
"Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him, and He will act." -Psalm 37:5

Missions Training International

We have started our training at MTI. The first week is done and we have learned a lot already. We have been learning different techniques for language learning that will supplement French school in the fall. We will be here another 3 weeks and will be learning more about language, living cross culturally and also about team dynamics. We have met a lot of new people and all of them have exciting stories to share about how God has called them to missions. We have met several couples who will be in France with us in the Fall, and we look forward to getting to know them better. We will finish our time here in Colorado with a week of pre-field orientation at the Christian and Missionary Alliance office and then head home for four weeks before France. Thank you for your continued prayers and support!

New Path

We are now officially on a new path. As of July 1, we are officially International Workers for the Christian and Missionary Alliance. Praise God! This new path is not unlike the one in the picture. We know where we are headed, but we don’t really know what’s up around the bend. But that is exactly how God wants us to live--to follow Him step-by-step on this journey, completely relying on His strength and direction. Sure, we have some expectations of what lies around the bend (finish training at MTI, French Language School, etc.). But, as we are learning here at MTI, it is how you respond when the many unexpected things come upon us as missionaries. We certainly know these will come (they have already!) and we trust God through the good and bad. So as we embark down this new path we cherish the verse in the header above. We commit our way (path) to the Lord, trust in Him in the expected and unexpected, and joyfully praise Him as He acts.

Prayer Requests
  • PRAISE! We had our appointment and have already received our French visas!
  • Pray for our time at MTI (Mission Training International) that we would become better prepared for both language school and our time in Gabon.
  • Pray we will continue to seek God’s wisdom and strength as we take each step in preparations and transition.
  • Pray for our children (Sarah (Adam) and Aaron) during this transition time. Pray for their health, protection and for God’s guidance as they seek out career paths.
  • Continue to pray for God’s leading for the team in Bongolo.
