Life in Albertville
Thank you for your prayers, we continue to see God meeting us here in Albertville as we learn French and interact in our community. We are making progress in our classes. They move quick and at times it is difficult to keep up, but we know He is helping us understand this language. We meet with a language partner once a week. This is someone from the community who is willing to connect with us individually so we can practice French conversation. The week after Thanksgiving brings our first trimester final exams to check our progress and figure out placement for our classes next January. Please pray that we continue to understand what we are learning, and that we will prepare well for our exams.
We have been attending church here in Albertville (Église Protestante Évangélique) and are getting involved. We attend a home group (groupe de maison) every other week and Jeff went on a fishing trip with the Men’s group.
The food here is wonderful. What else would you expect when you live in France? We enjoy the routine stops by our local boulangerie (bakery) for a baguette or other treats (pain au chocolat or croissant des amandes) and by the co-op for some Beaufort cheese. As a part of our language learning we need to get out in the community and practice our French. What a great excuse to indulge in some of the local goodies!
