For the fourth consecutive year, October ended with two of EES Shipping’s staff being named as finalists in two separate categories at the Lloyd’s List Australian Shipping and Maritime Industry Awards.

We are proud to announce that Geoff Hack received a high commendation in the Maritime Service Award category. We would also like to congratulate Phil for being a finalist in the coveted Customs Broker of the Year category for three consecutive years.
Check out the award winning night details over on our website.

Anniversary Article

The news of our 30th Anniversary has reached all the way to the Logistics and Materials Handling publication.

We were thrilled to see that the article featured a writeup of the night's events as well as a brief history of EES and what we're planning for the future.

Thank you again to all who attended on the night.

Freo Port Stats

Recently Fremantle Ports released their annual report for 2016

This 161-page document outlined some interesting facts on Australia's fourth largest container port, including statistics on the major commodities that are imported and exported through Fremantle.

This interesting data shows the difference between 2016 and the last few years.

Guessing Game

Our Christmas lolly flavour guessing game is back for another year!

Over the next few weeks, our sales team will be visiting you with a bag full of Christmas treats. There are five flavours this year. Four are listed on our website, but the fifth is a mystery flavour. Can you guess what it is?

We've got some movie tickets up for grabs for the first correct guess. Head to the website now for more details.

Import Air Cargo

Between the 14th and the 27th of November, the Department of Water Resources (Quarantine) have been carrying out additional screening of commercial air cargo arriving into Australia

At least 300 shipments not usually subject to bio security intervention will be held for random verification inspections.

The results will be complied with data that was previously collected in February this year.

Peak Season 2016

Fremantle Ports have reported that the peak season has reached our shores.

With Christmas exactly one month away, the silly season has well and truly begun.

The West Australian Port Operations Taskforce (WAPOTF) are urging importers to take steps to avoid costly delays this year.

Are you prepared for peak season?

Import Declaration

During the month of November we've been reminding our importers of the importance of supplying us with documentation as quickly as possible.

Promptly providing us with documents required for customs clearance allows the Australian Border Force (ABF - Customs) adequate time to correctly risk assess your shipment.

One Big Anniversary

There's only one anniversary to celebrate in November - and it's a big one.

Brian Hack, EES Director / General Manager, celebrates his eighteenth year at EES this month.  Brian commenced working alongside his parents when he was a teenager.

When asked about reaching this milestone Brian said: "I didn’t come this far to only come this far – let’s see what we can do in another 18 years!"

Congratulations and well done Brian.
As Christmas is just around the corner, can you please kindly email us your operating hours during the Festive Season. Please include a mobile telephone number if you are expecting any shipments / deliveries.
