Peak Season 2016

It's that time of year when we begin reminding everyone about the importance of pre-planning heading into the peak season. To ensure that you are extra organised for the busy season, our top tip is to order early. Doing so ensures that your goods don't arrive right in the middle of peak port times.

SOLAS Update

The sky didn't fall, and the containers did not stop moving when the amendments to the SOLAS Convention entered into force at the beginning of this month.

To protect the safety of the entire supply chain, shippers are now responsible for providing a Verified Gross Mass (VGM) of their containers before exporting.

A Hole In One

It may be the middle of Winter here in Perth, but that doesn't stop us from golfing in shorts and t-shirts!

Recently, Geoff and Glenn Hack joined Anthony Kelly and Luke MacKenzie from K-line Fremantle at the Royal Fremantle Golf Course for a game of Ambrose.

Trusted Trader

July has been a mammoth month of firsts with the Australian Trusted Trader program opening for all businesses that are active in the International Supply Chain.

This voluntary trade facilitation rewards accredited companies with a range of benefits. Want to know more about the Trusted Trader program?

Warehousing

While this winter has seen quite a bit of rain, we've been keeping dry in our huge 1200m3 warehouse facility.

Our team has the ability to unpack (and pack!) containers undercover, which is a real benefit not only to ourselves but our clients too.

Are you in need of storage, either long term or short term?  Contact us today for a competitive and comprehensive rate.

Vintage Vehicle

Recently EES, in conjunction with R.Melling and Associates, joined forces to ship this pre-war beauty to Felixstowe in the United Kingdom. This stunning coupe will now tour the United Kingdom in style.

Moving cars by sea freight is a specialised field, and should always be left to the professionals.

Find out more about the vehicle and how our team transported it half way across the world.

Asbestos Warnings

With the recent discovery of asbestos in building products used in Perth's new Children's Hospital, the issue of asbestos in imports has been thrust into the spotlight.

The Australian Border Force (ABF) have issued warrants against the company that imported these products.

It is important to remember that Australia adopts a zero tolerance to asbestos in imports.

It is the importer's responsibility to ensure any products they are importing are asbestos free.

Happy Birthday

The month of July was quiet on the anniversary front, but we had two special birthdays to celebrate instead!

Michelle, Customs Liason, turned another year older and wilder. While Josh, Import Customer Service, celebrated making it to two decades!

We hope that you both had a fantastic day.
