Organize, Simplify, Save Money
"Instruct the wise, and they will be even wiser. Teach the righteous, and they will learn even more." Proverbs 9:9 NLT

Jeanie's Three Quick Tips

Tip 1: Organize

Closet Clutter
Ahh, February, the romantic month when our clothing items fell in love and produced offspring in our closets.
Now it's March, and getting into your closet is akin to hacking through a jungle trail.

Don't despair. Bring your closet progeny under control without spending a dime.

1) Clear out everything that doesn't fit. This includes gorgeous, blister-inducing shoes.
2) Dump everything that doesn't flatter you.
3) Throw out all tattered, frayed, ripped, and torn items....unless you're 25 years old and just paid an entire month's salary on them.

Tip 2: Simplify

Pare Down Excess Utensils

My handyman hubby Jake emptied our kitchen utensil drawer so he could fix a sagging bottom. The drawer's, not his.
"Why do we have five spatulas?" he fumed.
Being an ever-so-wise wife, I removed the duplicates WITHOUT pointing out that he'd put them there.

DISCLOSURE: Jake, an ever-so-wise husband, rarely points out my idiosyncrasies. What a guy!

To maintain kitchen harmony and simplify finding the proper cooking tool, eliminate duplicate items.
While you're at it, give away the kitchen gadgets you never use.
If your spiffy garlic press is still sitting untouched after a year, give it to a cook.
HINT: Facing utensil handles in the same direction in a drawer makes grabbing them easier.

Tip 3: Save Money

Take a "Stop Spending" Challenge

Stop spending? That sounds a bit simplistic, doesn't it?
But how often do we run to the grocery store for milk, and wind up with a cart full of goodies to go with it?
