This year, The Autarkist will focus its content on the subjects of autarchy and Epicurean economics, and a recent essay explores the parallels between the Scandinavian hygge lifestyle and Epicurean philosophy, particularly focusing on style, landscape and architecture.

Vintage Books--which is now a division of Penguin Random House--will be publishing a book either in the fall of this year or early next year titled How to Live a Good Life. The book will include approximately 15 chapters--written mostly by members of clergy and academia--on diverse religions and philosophies as practiced by modern day people. It has already received a brief mention by Publishers Weekly. is a new business inspired in Epicurean autarchy principles. The initial line of products includes Epicurean books and sculptures, all-natural mood-boosters like cacao (chocolate) and kava, as well as items for pain management. The page adds value by providing links to book reviews and coupons, and by furnishing recipes and information about the products. It generates revenue from the affiliate links.
