College & Career Planning for the Class of 2021

Hello Titan Seniors and Families.

Mark your calendars and plan to attend the following events brought to you by the Titan Department of School Counseling:
  • On Wednesday, April 21,  from 9:00 a.m.-noon, join us and our partners from the Scholarship Fund of Alexandria for the Let's Get Your FAFSA Done: FAFSA and Financial Aid Workshop. We will cover everything you need to know about FAFSA and financial aid for post-secondary education. If you are planning to attend a trade school or a 2-year or  4-year college, you should complete a FAFSA -- regardless of your family's income level. We can help!
  • On Thursday, April 22, from 9:00 a.m. - noon, join us for There Is Still Time: Apply to College or Career/Tech Education. This workshop is for seniors who are still figuring out their next steps. Every senior who has not yet applied to college or trade school or enlisted in the military should plan to attend. Many colleges, universities and other career education programs are still accepting applications. Find out about 2-year and 4-year degrees as well as career certifications in many fields!
  • On Tuesday, April 27, from 9:00 a.m. - noon, join us for one of two great workshops. Admitted to College . . . Now What? is a repeat session of our popular annual seminar about what to expect after you receive acceptance letters and financial aid award letters.  And new this year, we are super excited to bring you Red Hot CTE Careers. This event will feature representatives from several career fields that are hot-hot so-hot right now. Learn how to earn-while-you-train to become a carpenter, surveyor, electrician, plumber/pipe fitter and possibly others!
No matter where you are in the process of planning for your life after high school, we hope you’ll join us to receive some important information!  While it would be most helpful to stay for an entire presentation, we know schedules might not allow for that.  Please arrive and leave any session at your convenience.
