Opportunity to Learn, Lead and Serve

April 12, 2021

The Alexandria City School Board is now accepting applications for the 2021-2022 school year for both middle school and high school representatives. Each year, rising juniors and seniors at TC Williams may apply to serve an annual term from July through the following June. Representatives that serve during their junior year may reapply for a second term. Student representatives attend School Board Meetings and have the opportunity to advocate on important issues from the lens of the student body. The deadline for application is Noon on FridayApril 30, 2021.

Middle School Student Representatives (GWMS, FCH, JH, PH) shall serve annual terms from July through the following June, after which they may reapply to be considered for another term. The MS Student Representative position is open to rising 7th and 8th grade students. MS Student Representatives work with the two high school student representatives to the School Board to advocate on behalf of the student body as well as report about what is happening in their respective schools. Middle School students interested in becoming representatives have until noon, on May 14, 2021 to apply.
