College and Career Readiness Opportunities

Greetings Titans,

We are excited to highlight a few current opportunities for Titans at all grade levels!

9th, 10th and 11th Grade Students

Pathways for Future Engineers Programs at Virginia Tech is a FREE college prep experiential program for first-generation college students in VA. The Pathway Program offers a two-week in-person residential camp on the VT campus during the summer as well as year-round virtual and in-person opportunities to explore different areas of engineering. Students also receive support applying to VT and preparing for collegiate course work. The application is now open and the deadline to apply is March 1, 2022. • Continue to search for scholarships.
  • Consider participating in Senior Experience. Visit our Canvas page and attend an information session during Lunch & Learn. These short but important sessions will be held from February 14-17 in the auditorium lecture hall. Contact Mrs. Hawn if you have questions (room A119, marianne.hawn@acps.k12.va.us). Coming Soon: "Senior Experience" Edition of Counseling News
  • Stay tuned for cap & gown and other graduation information.
  • And as always, stop by the College and Career Center if you have questions or need support.
We also encourage all Titans to get into the habit of regularly visiting the ACHS Job & Volunteer Board for leads on jobs, internships and community service opportunities.
