Call For Presentations

Present and win some fabulous prizes!

As we announced at our last user group meeting, we are running a fun contest to foster more user participation.  We are asking for user volunteers to give a short presentation to the group at our July meeting.  We will have some extra-special prizes for the winners!

The meeting will be held 5:00-7:30 PM on Thursday, July 23, 2015, at the Dynetics Solutions Complex.

Please read on to find out how to enter and the ground rules of the contest.

First, the rules:
  1. The presentation length must be a minimum of 15 minutes.
  2. The presentation topic is wide open, but must be focused on SolidWorks.  The general topic of your presentation is required for entry.
  3. SolidWorks software must be used.  Presentation may include PowerPoint slides, but may not be solely PowerPoint.
  4. Employees of SolidWorks, employees of Value-Added Resellers (VARs), and current NASWUG officers are not eligible for participation.
  5. The presentation may not be an advertisement for products or services; this is for users by users.
A few examples of awesome topics would be:
  • Specific SolidWorks functionality you use (i.e., Weldments, Sheet Metal, Drawings, Utilities, etc.)
  • How you solved a specific problem you were having in SolidWorks
  • Show off a cool model you created and how you did it
Remember, just because something may seem basic and trivial to you, doesn't mean that everyone knows about it!  I always learn something at the meetings...

How to enter:

It's easy!  Just email brian@naswug.com with the following information:
  • The general topic of your presentation.
  • A phone number where you can be contacted, if needed.
The first four people to respond (based on email time stamp) will be put on the docket to present.  Prizes will be awarded following the presentations.

Winners will be contacted via email by the first of next week.

Good Luck!
