Seeking Participants for Navigate: Advanced Budgeting I and Navigate: Uniform Guidance Cost Principles

We hope this email finds you well! We have a few key updates we will announce later today to the larger research community. We are announcing two new pilot courses: Navigate: Advanced Budgeting I and Navigate: Uniform Guidance Cost Principles.

The Navigate: Advanced Budgeting I pilot course is recommended for intermediate research administrators with two (2) or more years of on-the-job experience who have been exposed to and regularly produce basic budgets for sponsored research proposals.

Attendance at all three sessions is mandatory. Completion of the course requires full submission of both budget homework assignments, with one including a budget justification.

Fall 2016 Training Schedule
Location: Wolverine Tower
Time: 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Day 1:  October 28, 2016
Day 2:  November 8, 2016
Day 3:  November 29, 2016

Apply for Advanced Budgeting I.  Applications are due 10/3/2016!

This is an application-based course. The course design team members will evaluate readiness for participating in class discussions, budget building exercises and homework.

The Navigate: Uniform Guidance Cost Principles pilot course is recommended for new or seasoned research administrators involved in the pre- and post- award management of federally sponsored research projects.This course will focus directly on the Uniform Guidance Cost Principles.

Attendance is mandatory. This course will be one (1) day long. To receive certification, participants will have to complete the full session, along with any in-class and pre-class assignments.

Fall 2016 Training Schedule
Location: Wolverine Tower
Time: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Date: October 25, 2016 

Register for Uniform Guidance Cost Principles. Registration is due 10/14/2016. Class size is limited to 30 participants.
