ORSP Plans During Emergency Reduction in Operations
As you have likely heard, due to extreme temperatures and wind chill, the Ann Arbor University of Michigan campus has issued an emergency reduction in operations (ERO) beginning this evening at 12:00 midnight through 7:00 a.m. on Friday, February 1. The reduction in operations includes the cancellation of all classroom and laboratory instruction, and it extends to all non-critical services and operations.
ORSP is considered to be a non-critical service. However, we will have a "skeleton crew" of a few volunteers working remotely. These ORSP staff members can only attend to the most urgent business (i.e., proposals with unmovable deadlines that fall during the ERO).We can make no guarantees that proposals will be thoroughly reviewed or submitted in time.
Principal Investigators are therefore encouraged to contact their sponsors to alert them to the University's closure and to seek guidance on the late submission of proposals due to inclement weather.
