aiM Higher is a University of Michigan guided, self-study program designed to assist research administrators in preparing for the Certified Research Administrator (CRA) exam. The CRA exam is offered in the Spring by an independent certifying body.
The “Body of Knowledge” covered by the exam includes areas of research administration:
project development and administration;
legal requirements and sponsor interface;
financial management; and
general management.
When is aiM Higher?
The study group is held in the Spring, ten weeks before the exam period. The program is both an independent and guided study.
For the Spring 2021 CRA exam, the study pods will meet every Friday from March 12, 2021 - May 14, 2021, from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. via Zoom. Learn more about aiM Higher.
The CRA credential means that you demonstrate a level of knowledge of all aspects of research administration. It is obtained by qualifying for and taking the CRA exam, which is administered by the Research Administrators Certification Council (RACC) http://www.cra-cert.org.
