COVID-19 Sponsored Research Updates
In the midst of concerns over the spread of COVID-19, we want to offer the following updates pertaining to U-M sponsored research activities.
- Many U-M Staff Working Remotely
- Navigate and Professional Development Course Cancellation and Updates
- Federal Agency Sponsor Updates
- U-M Research Institutional Guidance
Many ORSP and Sponsored Programs Staff Working Remotely
The Office of Research and Sponsored Projects (ORSP) and the Finance - Sponsored Programs office are both open for business.
Many ORSP and Sponsored Programs staff are working remotely to do our part to "flatten the curve."
This change in operations will be relatively seamless, but please do call our offices before visiting to confirm the staff member you are looking for is on-site.
When you contact either ORSP or Sponsored Programs we can respond most efficiently when you provide a PAF, AWD, UFA, or P/G number along with the PI’s name.
If you call, be sure to leave a detailed voicemail.

The Council On Governmental Relations (COGR) COVID-19 Agency Responses Website contains comprehensive links to key federal agencies' COVID-19 operations, including National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Science Foundation (NSF), Department of Energy (DoE), and Department of Defense (DoD).
Stay Updated with the U-M COVID-19: Research Operations Institutional Guidance Website
The U-M Office of the Vice President for Research has partnered with teams across campus to develop a guidance document with information and resources so faculty and staff can best manage their ongoing research and scholarship activities.
Please refer to this COVID-19: Research Operations webpage frequently for evolving guidance on your research operations.
Thank you and stay healthy!
