Cloning Issue on Sign PAF Activity in
eResearch Proposal Management (eRPM)

Investigator Sign Data Getting Cloned to new PAF

The most recent release of new functionality in eRPM (PM 5.9) introduced an issue with the signature data when a new PAF is cloned. If a signed PAF is cloned to a new PAF, the data elements (i.e., date signed, responses to conflict of interest, and international engagement questions) on the Sign PAF activity are copied into the new PAF.

Please note the signature itself is not copied. System functionality will continue to require Investigators to complete the Sign PAF activity on the new PAF.

Below are some of the ways this will/will not impact the cloned PAF:

  • This is primarily a display issue and affects those viewing the PAF Summary or receiving emails when the PAF is routed or submitted to the sponsor without all signatures.
  • It does not affect the investigators who will sign the cloned PAF.  The activity still appears in the PAF workspace and looks the same when executed.
  • The display of the old data is temporary. Once the cloned PAF is signed, the new sign date and responses to the activity questions will display instead.
The problem will be fixed in the next eResearch upgrade currently scheduled for the weekend of November 21, 2020.
