Funding Opportunity:
Toyota Research Institute (TRI) is pleased to invite the University of Michigan PIs to participate in its TRI University 2.0 Research Program. We expect TRI funding of $3M per year for U-M projects.
TRI expects each project award to be approximately $500,000 per year and 2-3 years in duration. Funding decisions will be announced around June 30, 2020, and projects can begin after January 1, 2021.
Participation in this program is by invitation only, so please do not distribute this announcement outside of U-M.
Proposal Process:
The application process consists of three stages;
PI contacts TRI researchers to discuss the proposed project (January 1-31, 2020)
TRI invites white papers (due March 31, 2020). Please note that white papers do not require a budget and should not require a PAF.
