Almighty God, whom truly to know is everlasting life: Grant us so perfectly to know your Son Jesus Christ to be the way, the truth, and the life, that we may steadfastly follow his steps in the way that leads to eternal life; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
Happy Spring!
Our Dogwood and Eastern Redbud trees are blossoming
and the sweet fragrance of a new season arrives! Enjoy this sunshine as I hear the rain is returning!
Senior Warden Report April 18, 2018

Spring Greetings!
“An ideal Spring day is when the sun is shining, the breeze is blowing, the birds are singing, and the lawnmower is broken!”  Aren’t you just itchin’ to get outside and into the garden?  The next week or so will be a series of “ideal Spring days.” I can hardly wait.

We are still waiting on the Diocese to get applications to our Search Committee.  We will have them before our May 5th meeting.  Remember, if you have any ideas or comments regarding what you think  All Saints might want in a new rector, get that info to one of the Search Committee members before Monday, April 30.  Members are:  Deb Miller, Chris Broderick, Steve Dieterich, Laurie McDowell, John Keiter, Jim Denman, and Nancy Carr.

Security is an issue we all need to keep in mind. In the past week, an outside door was left closed, but unlocked. Two windows in the sanctuary were left unlatched, allowing the wind to blow them open. You can help those that must lock up after everyone leaves on Sunday by doing a quick check of nearby doors and windows in the Parish Hall and the Sanctuary, making sure they are secured. We will be speaking to building users who are here during the week about this issue.  Let me know if you’d be willing to be on a committee to get some protocols in place so the task does not fall on any one person.

And now, the garden is calling to me and I must go!

Thank you,
Laurie McDowell

A Prayer for Special Guidance
Almighty Lord, source of all knowledge and loving kindness, bring your grace upon the  All Saint’s Search Committee as we discern the needs of our parish in finding a new priest to serve as our Spiritual guide. Give us ears to hear, open hearts to feel, and clarity of vision so we might see your light. Shine your light upon us and grant us courage to move forward for your Honor and Glory. Let us all work together in your spirit of love for all who make up our All Saints’ community. We ask this For His Sake, our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen

Happy News ....

Chris McClave's beloved cat, Cookie, has found a new home with a friend of Chris' from the Dougie Center. We wish her well in her new family.
"All Saints Blue Aprons"

If you have some of our blue aprons home to launder or borrowed a couple for a special event, might you please return them, laundered, to the kitchen. We are missing ten of the blue aprons. The aprons are used for Hot Meals, for Sunday Coffee Hour and other All Saints' events. Should you have an apron home because you love having it in your kitchen, that is fine; simply leave $20 with Cris in the office and we will order more of the blue aprons and have them embroidered.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

A word from your deacon ...

The ladies of the Mustard Seed Thrift Shop have been giving socks and other clothing items to the homeless for years. We are now in the process of expanding this ministry and organizing a space that will also include personal care items. We now gratefully accept small hygiene products year-round, from hotel stays, trial size, dollar stores, etc. Please drop these off with Dn. Kathleen.
Thank you.
There are jackets, umbrellas and other items overflowing the Lost and Found. Please check to see if you left an item. On May 1, I will give remaining items to the Mustard Seed.
Thank you!
~ Cris.
