Keep, O Lord, your household the Church in your steadfast faith and love, that through your grace we may proclaim your truth with boldness, and minister your justice with compassion; for the sake of our Savior Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
Graduation Sunday
Last Sunday, June 10, we celebrated Graduation Sunday. Michelle Waite and Miriam Kilian were given beautiful Prayer Shawls in recognition of their accomplishments.

Michelle graduated from PSU with a BA in history. She plans to work for a couple years, then consider continuing with graduate or law school. Congratulations, Michelle!

Miriam graduated with a degree in psychology from Linfield College. Over the summer Miriam is working for Portland Parks and Recreation as one of their summer program site managers, and she's considering where and when to go to grad school for an art therapy degree. Congratulations, Miriam!
Summer Adult Forum

Please join us for an informal Gospel-based conversation in the Guild Room continuing this Sunday, June 10th, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
A minute of your time please --

Although we strongly discourage it, we frequently have homeless people sleeping on the porches and grounds of the church.  It can be a scary situation for Cris, our administrative assistant, or anyone else coming into the church early.

Even more scary perhaps is when the alarm has not been set.  Anyone would be nervous entering a large building like ours with no reassurance that it was empty.  Even though doors are locked, people have broken in, or hidden when the alarm is not turned on.  ( Remember the sleeping man found next to the altar last year?).  If the alarm is on, even someone who has broken in earlier and hidden will set off the motion detector alarm when they move around.  So there are two issues we need to remember:

1 - Check to make sure that if you are the last one out, you set the alarm; or you know who is to be the last out,

2 - That you sign in on the board by the alarm system, and erase it when you leave.  This assures that the last one out knows it, and that no one is left to wonder if the signee was the one who turned off the alarm the next morning, or it just wasn't set the night before.

We all forget occasionally, but for the safety of all of us, we need to be mindful of these points.  Thank you for helping to keep us all safe!

Mikki Wooldridge's
Retirement Celebration!!

After over 20 years of faithful service in our Mustard Seed, every Friday and Saturday, Mikki is stepping down.  We honored Mikki’s retirement at 9:00 a.m. last Sunday, June 10th. Her dedication and work ethic were an example to us all. Thank you, Mikki, for everything you do for All Saints.

Fun Fact ...
Did you know the word “Episcopal” was the most searched word on Google on the day of the British Royal Wedding? Thanks to the energy and hope Presiding Bishop Michael Curry stirred in his sermon, many of our neighbors are more curious than ever about the Episcopal Church. Let us intentionally share faith and greet newcomers as if they are Christ in our midst!
Homestead Preschool Celebrates!
Last Thursday, June 7, was the last day of school for these Homestead Preschool students. They performed songs for their families on stage (our front steps!). Summer vacation awaits!

Women's Bible Study will be on hiatus until Tuesday, September 11, 9:30 to 11:00 a.m.

Have a wonderful summer and join us then!
A word from your deacon ...

The ladies of the Mustard Seed Thrift Shop have been giving socks and other clothing items to the homeless for years. We are expanding this ministry and organizing a space that will also include personal care items. We now gratefully accept small hygiene products and
especially men's crew socks year-round. Please drop these off with Dn. Kathleen.
Thank you.
A Prayer for Special Guidance
Almighty Lord, source of all knowledge and loving kindness, bring your grace upon the  All Saint’s Search Committee as we discern the needs of our parish in finding a new priest to serve as our Spiritual guide. Give us ears to hear, open hearts to feel, and clarity of vision so we might see your light. Shine your light upon us and grant us courage to move forward for your Honor and Glory. Let us all work together in your spirit of love for all who make up our All Saints’ community. We ask this For His Sake, our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen
