And Jesus said to [Simon], ..."Do you see this woman?
I entered your house; you gave me no water for my feet,
but she has bathed my feet with her tears and dried them with her hair." Luke 7:344
Keep, O Lord, we beseech thee, thy household the Church in thy steadfast faith and love,
that by the help of thy grace we may proclaim thy truth with boldness, and minister
thy justice with compassion; for the sake of our Savior Jesus Christ,
who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.

On June 12 the Sunday School students will be offering tours of the Godly Play room after the service. It is the way we close the sunday school for the summer break.
Congratulations to Deacon Kathleen
and to the rest of our graduates whom we honored last Sunday!
We are exploring how to become a Believe Out Loud Congregation. Many LGBT people in our community are spiritually searching for a faith community where they will be welcomed and affirmed as beloved children of God. Charlene McCreight is our Diocesan workshop leader for Believe Out Loud congregations and will be visiting us on Sunday, June 12th following each service.

Prayer for the Earth
I have come to terms with the future.
From this day onward I will walk easy on the earth.
Plant trees. Kill no living things.
Live in harmony with all creatures.
I will restore the earth where I am.
Use no more of its resources than I need.
And listen, listen to what it is telling me.

Ways and resources to observe

In 2000, the United Nations named June 20 as World Refugee Day,
deeming it an annual opportunity to celebrate the resilience
and success of the former refugees who bless our communities with their wisdom and irrepressible spirit and to examine the root causes of violence
and persecution that force people to flee at an alarming rate.
