O God, forasmuch as without thee we are not able to please thee, mercifully grant that thy Holy Spirit
may in all things direct and rule our hearts; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who with thee
and the same Spirit liveth and reigneth, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Parent/Volunteer Meeting
11:45 a.m. (after church)
Good evening, youth and families of St. John's and All Saints,
I hope that you all had a fantastic Summer, and followed it up with a great Labor Day weekend! With the temperatures dropping, the rain falling, and the school bells ringing it's also time to start up Youth Group again. Our first meeting will be on Sunday, September 11th, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.
Our joint Youth Group program is open to all youth from 6th grade on up. We'll be taking time this week to break the ice, get to know one another, and learn a bit more about what to expect from Youth Group, so I encourage those who have just entered 6th grade this year or who have not been able to make it to Youth Group before to come and enjoy! If you can bring a snack to share, it makes it that much better.
In Youth Group we use a variation of the Rite 13 and Journey to Adulthood (J2A) programs. Rite 13 and J2A provide a pedagogically rich program of instruction that views adolescent faith formation as a journey that culminates in a rite of passage: confirmation. Confirmation marks a major step in a teen's life when they feel confident in their faith and in themselves, and are ready to act as mature Christian adults. The goal of the program, then, on the largest scale, is to give our youth that confidence and to prepare them to take that step. Our day-to-day goals also include fostering community lasting friendships, modeling adult friendships, and providing a safe place to decompress away from the world and be oneself without fear of judgment or ridicule.
Many blessings,
Noah Kilian, Youth Minister

New Administrative Assistant
I am happy to announce that we have hired a new Administrative Assistant who is able to begin next Monday, September 12, 2016. Her name is Cristina Breshears. Please come and welcome her during office hours. We feel very blessed that Cris became available exactly when we needed her. Special thanks to her friend, Irene, for posting the position on the All Saints Facebook page.

All Saints Supper Club Sign-Up - This Sunday, Sept.11 and Sunday, the 18th!

Joining a supper club group is a great way to meet others in a casual atmosphere!
Groups usually meet every other month, but each group can determine how often to meet. A typical group has 8 to 10 people in it and consists of a meal and conversation. Some groups prefer to meet at a host’s home while others prefer meeting at a local restaurant---there are many options.
Forms will be available on the table in the entry way on Sunday. Please fill in the form so that we know your preferences. Check or circle your responses. Return the form to the basket by the front entry of the parish hall. You can also email Laurie McDowell your responses.
We’re going to try something new this year with the Supper Club groups. You will have the option of keeping last year’s groups intact (if possible) and adding a few new members or opting to be in a new group.  Let me know your preference.
