Almighty and everlasting God, you have given to us your servants grace, by the confession of a true faith, to acknowledge the glory of the eternal Trinity, and in the power of your divine Majesty to worship the Unity: Keep us steadfast in this faith and worship, and bring us at last to see you in your one and eternal glory, O Father; who with the Son and the Holy Spirit live and reign, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
This Sunday, May 27, 2018, is Memorial Day
Pentecost Sunday
The Holy Spirit filled our Choir on Pentecost Sunday!  Many languages were spoken during both services. At the 8:00 a.m. service, we heard Spanish, German, Swahili and Bantu. At the 10:15 a.m. service, we were regaled with Italian, French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Macedonian, Latin and American Sign Language!
Name Tags

The name tags have been updated and everybody should now have one. The Vestry requests that we all wear them at this time to facilitate meeting and learning names!

Please contact Mary Earl or Cris in the office if there are any issues with your name tag.

Thank you!

A word from your deacon ...

The ladies of the Mustard Seed Thrift Shop have been giving socks and other clothing items to the homeless for years. We are expanding this ministry and organizing a space that will also include personal care items. We now gratefully accept small hygiene products and
especially men's crew socks year-round. Please drop these off with Dn. Kathleen.
Thank you.
Howard and Carolyn Leavenworth

Harold and Carolyn received their prayer shawls this past week. Carolyn taught Sunday school for 10 years at All Saints and  Harold helped with that ministry the last five years. It is difficult for them to leave their home at this time and would appreciate cards and scheduled visits.
~ Kathy Martin
Good evening, friends!

World Vision's 2018 30-Hour Famine is almost upon us. As a sign of our commitment to seek and serve Christ in all persons, the youth and I will gather at All Saints' and together we will go for 30 hours without food, beginning our fast at noon on Friday the 25th of May, and ending it with Holy Eucharist and a shared meal with family at 6:00pm on Saturday the 26th.

In the meantime, we are raising money! In the developing world it takes just $30 to feed, clothe, and educate a child for an entire month. For that reason, we ask that our friends, family, and members of our congregations sponsor us for $30, one dollar for every hour that we fast, to send to World Vision to help combat child poverty throughout the world.

Fundraising has never been easier than it is today; where once we had to wait for checks or cash in the mail from relatives who were far away, now we can simply and securely raise funds online that go right to our group's contribution. You can make a participant page at
https://youth.worldvision.org/team/20422 and start sending your own unique donation link out to anyone you think might be able to pitch in.

Everyone ages 12 and up is welcome and invited to join us. Even if you have a medical condition that makes it unfeasible to go 30 hours without food you are still more than welcome to join us for Famine activities and educational segments, and leave to eat if you have to. The point of the event isn't showing how great we are for going without food; it's growing deeper into community with God and one another and helping to build a better world for all our brothers and sisters.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask. I will be sending out more instructions about what to do to prepare, what to bring, and what to expect as we get closer to the event.

Thank you, everyone!

A Prayer for Special Guidance
Almighty Lord, source of all knowledge and loving kindness, bring your grace upon the  All Saint’s Search Committee as we discern the needs of our parish in finding a new priest to serve as our Spiritual guide. Give us ears to hear, open hearts to feel, and clarity of vision so we might see your light. Shine your light upon us and grant us courage to move forward for your Honor and Glory. Let us all work together in your spirit of love for all who make up our All Saints’ community. We ask this For His Sake, our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen
