The Rev. Kathleen Borsch, Deacon
Dr. James Denman, Director of Music
Cristina Breshears, Administrative Assistant

Blessed Lord, who caused all holy Scriptures to be written for our learning: Grant us so to hear them, read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest them, that we may embrace and ever hold fast the blessed hope of everlasting life, which you have given us in our Savior Jesus Christ; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
All Saints Supper Club Kick Off
Can you make it?  This Friday, November 16, 6 pm, at the church, Supper Club will hold its “beginning of the season” potluck supper.  Groups will be announced and logistics will be discussed.  If you have signed up already, please come if you can.  If you haven’t signed up and are interested, this is a great opportunity to meet and make friends by joining a group.

Groups usually meet every month, but each group can determine how often to meet.  Some groups prefer to meet at a host’s home while others prefer meeting at a local restaurant or choose to have a potluck at the church.

Supper Club
Purpose:  Supper Clubs are a great way to enjoy Christian fellowship and hospitality outside of church services on Sunday mornings.  Dinners are held in a casual, but lively setting of six to ten people in a variety of settings—someone’s home, at the church, at a restaurant, in a park—many options!
Training:  None needed
Commitment:  Groups generally meet at least four or five times from October to May.  Some groups choose to meet through the summer, as well.  The host provides the main meal and the guests fill in the rest.

Soup, Supper & Study Series

~ The Messiah ~
With the Rev. Andria Skornik
Written by world-renowned Old Testament scholar Walter Brueggemann, this three-session adult study takes a critical look at the four royal titles used in Isaiah 9:2-7: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. In our study, will be challenged to learn how the people understood those titles during Jesus' time and discuss how Jesus did or did not fulfill the titles. We will also reflect on how Christians interpret Jesus as representing that title.

We are most grateful for the 74 pledges of $148,357 that we have received so far in our 2019 Stewardship Campaign bringing us within $11,643 of reaching our goal of $160,000. We asked you to join us in a leap of faith as we pressed toward this new goal for the upcoming year so that we can continue to support our amazing programs, staff, and having Mother Andria work with us to begin a new vision. We really do need all of you in these next couple of weeks through the end of November to help us close this gap of $11,643 and reach our goal of $160,000. How great would that be?

We’ve had several Parishioners request new Pledge Cards so that they could increase the pledges they have already made. We sincerely thank them so much for that. If you have not yet pledged for 2019, won’t you please consider doing so? A committee will be following up with those who haven’t turned in their pledges. Pledge Cards are available in the Narthex or from the Church Office if you need one. Please know that your generous contributions to All Saints help make us a vibrant worship community and are truly appreciated by us. Your continued vital financial support as we begin preparations for our 2019 Budget is truly a blessing to our All Saints Community. Again, a huge thank you to all of you for your help in attaining and reaching our goal for this next fiscal year.

HOT MEALS News ...

A big thank you to Laurie & John Kerr for putting on the Pasta Feed
as a fund raiser for Hot Meals. The meal brought in $1200.00! A
total of $1000.00 was donated to Hot Meals. This was certainly a blessing from God. As the Oregon Food Bank had no turkeys or any of the trimmings for a Thanksgiving meal this year, we had to buy everything needed for the meal.  Safeway was king enough to give us a nice discount on the turkeys and we bought the rest from Smart Food Service at lower cost.

Also, a big thank you to Joe Marlia, for donating all of the pumpkin pies.  And, thanks to the Shawl Ministry for the hats and scarfs they give at our Thanksgiving meal.
~ Nancy Patrick, Chairman

A word from your deacon ...

Brrrr, it's cold outside! Can you imagine what it's like to sleep outside?

Please help restock the blanket supply in our St. Francis Closet by donating any old blankets or sleeping bags you no longer need.

On behalf of our homeless brothers and sisters, thank you!

~ Dn. Kathleen

Godly Play is making and selling Bible Bookmarks. All profit will go to the Godly Play Room. We will be selling them for $2.00 each in the Parish Hall after the 10:15 a.m. service!

Thank you,
