Sunday School with Godly Play
Classes begin Sunday, September 13, followed by our annual Ice Cream Social in the Parish Hall.
This event will be open to the public as part of our participation in "Woodstock Gives Back".  We will be serving ice cream to the public outdoors, as we elicit charitable support for the Oregon Food Bank.
Mark your calendars!  All Saints has partnered with Oregon Food Bank to participate in the Woodstock Gives Back: Day of Giving event, happening on September 13.  This is a unique and exciting event with over 30 businesses and organizations participating.  Think street fair with a charity promotion angle.

The event will begin at 10 am and conclude at 6 pm.  At this time streets will not be closed.  High school students will be guiding and handing out maps. If you are interested in helping All Saints/Oregon Food Bank out with this event, we could sure use you!  Contact Laurie McDowell or Micky Keiter with your ideas, times available, and questions.  Thanks!

On Preaching:

"I do love to preach.  The preaching and teaching of God's word does make a difference and can lift us up. You know the story in Ezekiel 37?  That's pretty much about preaching.  We're a valley of dry bones; God said, preach to them and the bones started to shake, rattle, and roll... that is what preaching does.  I hope to continue the preaching ministry as well, as a way of moving the church forward."

of Portland and Episcopal Church History

On Saturday October 17th there will be a leisurely walking tour in downtown Portland led by Katie Keller.  We will meet at Trinity Cathedral in the East parking lot at 10 a.m ,  ride the MAX line to Old Town and walk and talk our way through history. It will last about 1.5 hours and we will return to Trinity and possibly go inside for a few minutes.
The tour will be limited to 20 participants.  If it fills and there is still interest, we will plan another one!  There is no charge but you will need to buy a MAX ticket for $2.50/ adults.
If you are interested, please add your name to the sign-up sheet located on the desk top in the front of the parish hall.
