"I ask not only on behalf of these, but also on behalf of those who will believe in me through their word,
that they may all be one. As you, Father, are in me and I am in you, may they also be in us,
so that the world may believe that you have sent me.  John 17:20
O God, the King of glory, who hast exalted thine only Son Jesus Christ with great triumph
unto thy kingdom in heaven: We beseech thee, leave us not comfortless,
but send to us thine Holy Ghost to comfort us, and exalt us unto the same place
whither our Savior Christ is gone before; who liveth and reigneth with thee
and the same Holy Ghost, one God, world without end. Amen

Just a reminder that this Sunday, May 8th, is Mother's Day!
Bring your daughters, mothers and grandmothers to church!
Families with children will be invited to stand around the altar during the liturgy of The Holy Communion, as it's the family of Christ coming together for a meal.  Children and infants will be able to observe the preparation of the Table from up close and personal.  Services at 8:00 a.m. and 10:15 a.m.

to persons with mental illness.

The 30-Hour Famine
Our big project for the rest of the school year is the 30-Hour Famine. Throughout the coming months, the youth of our congregations will be raising money on behalf of World Vision to help combat child poverty and malnutrition in the developing world. As a sign of our commitment to seek and serve Christ in all person, the youth and I will go without food for 30 hours, beginning our fast at noon on Friday the 27th of May, and ending it with Holy Eucharist at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Noah Kilian, Youth Director
We are exploring how to become a Believe Out Loud Congregation. Many un-churched LGBT people in our community are spiritually searching. They are looking for a faith community where they will be welcomed and affirmed as beloved children of God. Charlene McCreight is our Diocesan workshop leader for Believe Out Loud congregations and will be visiting us soon.

Come Celebrate Fourth Sundays!!
And maybe join the band?

All Saints’ is blessed with talented, committed volunteers who gather to make music every Sunday and at mid-week or Sunday rehearsals. On the fourth Sunday of every month—Youth Sunday—parents and children sing together at the 10:15 service in the Family Choir, under the leadership of Belinda Nissen, with accompanist Jerry Meter.
As a bonus, the service includes accompaniment and musical offerings by the Fourth Sunday Ensemble, volunteer instrumentalists who play woodwinds, brass, strings, and guitar. Come enjoy and sing with us and raise a joyful shout in harmony with the Family Choir and Instrumental Ensemble!!
Do you or members of your family sing? Why not add your voices? For more information about Family Choir, please contact Belinda Nissen through the parish office.
Do you play an instrument? Would you like to share your talent with other volunteers to enrich our worship at these special services? Please contact Jim Denman through the parish office, or at the parish music address:

Prayer for the Earth
I have come to terms with the future.
From this day onward I will walk easy on the earth.
Plant trees. Kill no living things.
Live in harmony with all creatures.
I will restore the earth where I am.
Use no more of its resources than I need.
And listen, listen to what it is telling me.

I am on the move.. but not far this time. I have moved just down the hall to a smaller apartment close to the art room and the most desire able dining room. I was sad to leave the beautiful river view of our old apartment but I shall continue to walk and enjoy the river views on the trail walk here which Dick and I have loved so much.  I will continue to take many photos, of course, and will look forward to hearing from friends and family.

With love from Sue
