Almighty God, on this day you opened the way of eternal life to every race and nation
by the promised gift of your Holy Spirit: Shed abroad this gift throughout the world by the preaching of the Gospel, that it may reach to the ends of the earth;
through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Pentecost Celebration and Potluck
This Sunday, June 4
After the 10:15 Service
Please join us on June 4 and wear red as we celebrate Pentecost with a potluck after the 10:15 service.

A sign-up sheet  will be in the Parish Hall this Sunday for your convenience to let us know if you can help set up, bring food, and/or clean up.
It’s gonna be fun!!

Adult Forum at 9:30 a.m.
At the Adult Forum this Sunday, we will continue with the film Henri Nouwen: The Passion of a Wounded Healer.

Please join us as we are introduced to the humble and encouraging outlook of this man, including an interesting commentary on Rembrandt's The Prodigal Son (the painting on the wall outside Mother Laura's office). Please note: this is a subtitled film.
Homestead Preschool Open House
June 10th
 opens very soon!
From our Junior Warden:

You may have noticed that the small dogwood in front of our All Saints sign is missing now.  It was a decision of the Building and Grounds Committee and the Vestry to remove it.  We have been trying to make the approach to our church more open and welcoming, and it was clear that the dogwood was blocking our sign to those driving up Woodstock Boulevard. It was a hard decision take down a beautiful tree, but we will plant another one, or possibly two, to replace it in a more appropriate spot.
~Judy Clark
I would just like to thank everyone for their support. We had an incredible and meaningful event, and raised over $500 for children in South Sudan, and we are still accepting donations through the 11th. Checks can be made out to All Saints with "30-Hour Famine in the memo line.
Thank you,

Please join us on Trinity Sunday, June 11th to celebrate Susan Hank's birthday hosted by her daughter, Nicole Budlong. Friends and church family are invited for light refreshments and cake following the second service.
Our Beautiful New Altar Complete

Hello Laura and Lucille,

On Wednesday I buffed the top of the altar with steel wool and wax. I am happy with the look. Using a topcoat of gloss varnish and letting it cure for a couple of weeks really helped. It has a nice, even, soft sheen, but does not look like a factory spray lacquer. I hope that the History Committee finds this to be satisfactory.

on Third Saturday!

Our 3rd Saturday team is too small to manage the increase in people coming for the meal.  Please, if you can help out even for an hour or so, contact Nancy Patrick at 971-271-1339.  Also, our 3rd Saturday cook will be out of town in June on business. I will be cooking but would like some help. Just give me a call. Thank you.

Archive Room
Please do not place ANYTHING in the Archive Room without permission of the historian, John Keiter, or a member of his committee. Thank you.
Hello all,

Last fall we started our first Education for Ministry group at St. David's and it has gone really well. If you don't know EfM check it out, its pretty great. (
We are looking to sign up folks for this next year, and I was wondering if any of you might have parishioners who would be interested in joining us. This year the group has met on Tuesday evenings here at St. David's, I am assuming that would stay the same in the fall.
Thanks so much.
