There will be a Godly Play Open House on June 14 Immediately following the service. We will be ending Sunday school for the 2014-2015 year. We will read a story about the church calendar, and have a feast of Matzo and M&M's.
Our Graduates Honored
On Sunday, June 7, at the 10:15 service, three high school grads from All Saints will be recognized, blessed, and given a gift on behalf of their parish, thanks to the efforts of our Prayer Shawl Ministry.  We have three graduates this year:
McKenzie Trapp, Zach Silver, and Aiden Springer.
New Committee Forming
Our parish has had its’ share of interactions with homeless people on church property. The City of Portland has recommended that we establish a firm policy, both pro-active and re-active to handle this issue. The Vestry is putting together a small committee to draft such a policy. If you are interested in participating, please contact Chuck Martin, Senior Warden. We plan on completing it before June 23rd.

When you lay down to go to sleep, just give it up to God!

The average Electric Vehicle (EV) in the U.S. costs about $3.74 worth of electricity to drive 100 miles.  A comparable conventional car costs about $13.36  (EPA estimates…in Portland it’s less). They have about a 99 MPG energy equivalent. Most EV’s have a range of about 70 – 90 miles between charges, making them a “niche” car for people whose daily driving is usually shorter trips.  - Steve Hiscoe
Featured FAQs; frequently asked questions about Episcopal Church teachings, terminology, and traditions.

Trinity Sunday:  Celebration of Trinity Sunday was approved for the western church by Pope John XXII in 1334. This feast is associated with Thomas Becket, who was consecrated bishop on Trinity Sunday, 1162. His martyrdom may have influenced the popularity of the feast in England and the custom of naming the remaining Sundays of the church year "Sundays after Trinity." The Sarum Missal and editions of the Prayer Book through the 1928 BCP named these Sundays the Sundays after Trinity. The 1979 BCP identifies this portion of the church year as the season after Pentecost, and names these Sundays the Sundays after Pentecost.
