The Rev. Kathleen Borsch, Deacon
Dr. James Denman, Director of Music
Cristina Breshears, Administrative Assistant

O Lord, mercifully receive the prayers of your people who call upon you, and grant that they may know and understand what things they ought to do, and also may have grace and power faithfully to accomplish them; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
Our new nursery in the Homestead Preschool
is ready for childcare on Sundays!
All Saints is saying farewell to two of our beloved families:

Nathan, Amelia and Sondre Brooks are moving down to Pittsburg, California.
Corey, Andrea, Liora, and Langston Banfield are moving across the country to Nashville, TN.

We feel sorrow in your leaving, yet we rejoice with you in anticipation of this new chapter of your life. We will miss your love and support, yet we know you will add much to the lives of those who will be your new church family, as you have added much to our lives.

A reception is planned for Sunday, July 30, at 11:45 a.m.

We praise and thank you, God of the journey,
for our brothers and sisters who are soon to leave us.
We entrust them into your loving care,
knowing that you are always the faithful traveler
   and companion on the Way.

Shelter and protect them from all harm and anxiety.
Grant them the courage to meet the future,
and grace to let go into new life;
through Jesus Christ our Saviour. Amen.

Up-To-Date!

Most people are current on their Financial Pledges. We appreciate it so much, especially during the summer months! Thank you!

SAVE THE DATE!

Our end-of-summer Outdoor Service is planned for Sunday, August 27 at 10:15 a.m. Seating provided on pavement.

The All Parish Picnic will start after the service

One service only.
A heartfelt thank you to the members of All Saints Bible Study for the card filled with good wishes and the gift card to Home Depot. I will be sure to use it! It was so thoughtful of you. But most of all I appreciate your enthusiasm, joy, and involvement in our studies over the past ten years. And it's wonderful to know that Reverend Liz will be guiding you as you continue your contemplation of God's word.
~Pat ten Broeke
On Sunday, July 23, when Mother Laura is on vacation, the Rev. Dr. Graham M. Smith will be presiding and preaching at both services. He is the recently retired dean of Saint George's College Jerusalem and is making his home in Oregon.
CLEANING HELP NEEDED!

We need help in covering Joe Marlia's duties while he's away on vacation. All Saints is willing to pay for help covering the two Saturday afternoons of July 15th and 22nd.

It's very important to have the cleaning done after the Hot Meals program in the morning. Basic job description:  mop cleaning parish hall floor and kitchen floor, cleaning bathrooms, filling paper towel holders and toilet paper holders.

Please let me know if you can help, or know someone who can. Thank you!
~ Judy Clark, Junior Warden
KEEPING COOL ...

We purchased 7 new fans that are to remain in the sanctuary during warm weather. You will probably find it cooler if you sit at the end of the pews near the side aisles where the air flow is more direct. Also, sitting near the center aisle under the glass part of the roof is much warmer, and the left side of the sanctuary becomes warmer as the sunlight pours in through the glass as it gets closer to noon.

Generally it's best to leave the outside doors closed and not let in heat from the parking lots and pavements. We have the blower pulling cooler air in during the night and that should keep the nave cooler until late morning.

And the fewer electric lights burning in the parish hall, kitchen and nursery, the cooler it will be. Fortunately we have lots of windows for light! Thanks for your help in working with Mother Nature!
~ Judy Clark, Junior Warden

Bible Study Leadership

Our Tuesday morning Bible study group will resume meeting in Parish Hall this fall.  We will be welcoming a new leader of this open-ended group, grateful for Pat tenBroeke's faithful service as its leader over the last 10 years.

I am pleased to announce that Rev. Liz Powers has agreed to be the new leader of this group that includes discussion of scripture, intercessory prayer and a card ministry.  All interested persons are welcome to participate from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m.  weekly.

Adult Forum will be on hiatus until Fall.
Happy Summer!

With summer upon us, Deacon Kathleen and the Prayer Shawl Ministry reach out to you with a few requests.

1. When you are using a hotel room or cruise ship room (we wish)  and there are toiletries provided that you will not be using, please remember that personal hygiene items are given to our Hot Meals recipients at the Christmas Hot Meals Luncheon. Soap, shampoo, body lotion, etc are always welcome.

2. When you next visit your dentist, please inquire if the dental office would like to donate dental floss, toothpaste, or toothbrushes. Now is a good time to ask about contributing these items as near the holidays there are a number of requests for these contributions.

3. If you happen upon a good sock sale, we always tries to have a pair of new socks available for our Hot Meals guests. Darker colors are best, as are warmer socks. There is a greater need for men's socks than women's but both are welcome.

While you enjoy your summer adventures, please remember the less fortunate. Any items that you are able to collect may be given to Deacon Kathleen or any member of the Prayer Shawl Ministry.

Thank you for your generosity.
Sunday schedule for greeters to welcome visitors and guests:

July 16: Ruth Mumm

Thanks again for your participation. It's been going well so far and I think you will find it enjoyable to connect with newcomers. If you have any questions, just ask myself or Kathy Martin. If a conflict comes up and you have to change your schedule, please contact me via email.
Thank you,
Chris Broderick
Cursillo is a ministry in the Episcopal Church that helps Christians to deeply experience both the love of God and love of one another. A Cursillo weekend brings together a diverse group of participants and team members for three days of listening, learning, singing, praying, sharing, eating, and laughing. What is experienced on the weekend then serves as a springboard to a life of ongoing spiritual development, in the company of others, and as an inspiration for a life of reaching out to the world with the love of Jesus Christ.

Learn more about Cursillo and how you can participate in the upcoming weekend, July 27-30.

For more information, see www.oregon-cursillo.org. Next Cursillo is a Co-Ed (both Men and Women) from Thursday, July 27 – Sunday, July 30,2017, to be held at Oregon Christian Convention Center in Turner, just outside Salem. If you would like to attend, contact your clergy for more information, or email oregoncursillo@gmail.com.
