Tabitha, a widow, raised from the dead by the apostle Peter. Acts 9:36-43
O God,whose Son Jesus
is the good shepherd of thy people;
Grant that when we hear his voice
we may know him who calleth us each by name,
and follow where he doth lead;
who, with thee and the Holy Spirit,
liveth and reigneth, one God,
for ever and ever. Amen.

The Annual Mustard Seed Tea and Fashion Show will be presented on Sunday, April 17th after the 10:15 service.   It is a fun time for families and friends!  Any questions?  Contact Laurie McDowell or Mikki Wooldridge.

All Saints Bunco Night
Parish Life is hosting another Bunco Night on Wednesday, April 20th, at 7 p.m..  This fun evening will be held at Chris McClave's home.  More info to follow!

Mother Laura will be on vacation next week, April 20 through April 26, celebrating her wedding anniversary in Mexico. She and Tom have been married 45 years. Rev. Liz Powers, a member of our parish, will preside and preach at both the 8:00 a.m. and 10:15 services on Youth Sunday, April 24.
Liz is canonically resident in the Diocese of South Dakota, but also licensed now in our diocese. She and Sam Robertson have been married 20 years.
Sam, who works at the Native American Rehabilitation Center as an addiction counselor in downtown Portland, chaired the South Dakota Diocesan Anti-Racism Committee. Sam's brother, the late Rt. Rev. Creighton Robertson, was the first Episcopal Native American bishop.
Rev. Liz is a 2004 graduate of Sewanee. Prior to her ordination as priest in North Dakota that same year, she spent many years in the social work field. Though Liz is retired, she will be working as a "Visiting Angel" to homebound people in the Portland area. We are grateful Liz and Sam are members of All Saints.
We had a wonderful turnout for the Spring Clean-up.  There were at least 15 people there.  Some were children and youngsters, and all ages.  They all really worked hard and made a huge difference.  I think the grounds look very pretty and welcoming now.  As an added benefit, we had the very hard work of a man who showed up around nine to wait for the hot meal, and spent the next 2 hours working up a sweat!  Another woman showed up later and helped sweep very efficiently.   I think there may be some of the hot meals guests who would enjoy helping.  It's another way to connect.

Prayer for the Earth
I have come to terms with the future.
From this day onward I will walk easy on the earth.
Plant trees. Kill no living things.
Live in harmony with all creatures.
I will restore the earth where I am.
Use no more of its resources than I need.
And listen, listen to what it is telling me.
