O God, the King of glory, you have exalted your only Son Jesus Christ with great triumph to your kingdom in heaven: Do not leave us comfortless, but send us your Holy Spirit to strengthen us, and exalt us to that place where our Savior Christ has gone before; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, in glory everlasting. Amen.
For Day of Pentecost: All who would like to participate by reading Acts 2:1-4 in any language next week, click here for your preferred language translation.

We will all be reading at once!
THANK YOU TO OUR
WONDERFUL HELPERS!

- to Steve McDowell for cutting the grass around the church,

- Laurie McDowell for providing and planting the flowers in the beds by the front church doors, and pulling many weeds,

- Nancy Carr for providing Lavender and Vinca for filling in the beds by the Parish Hall.

Mustard Seed Thrift Store and Book Nook is looking for some volunteers to take a 4 hour shift once or twice a month on Friday or Saturday.  Our regular crew has some trips planned or other obligations on occasion and we could use some more depth in our pool of volunteers.  Primary duties are cashier, greeting customers, answering questions (there is always someone to help with this) and occasionally helping one of house-less guests with some donated toiletries or clothing (we have a dedicated closet with these items). Please call or email Sonja Miller.
Mother's Day is this Sunday, May 13th

Shop for cards and gifts at the Mustard Seed Thrift Store and Book Nook.  We have a selection of Tea Cups and Vases, as well as books and other items.
Come see us Friday and Saturday
11 A.M.  TO 3 P.M.
Cash or checks accepted.
A word from your deacon ...

The ladies of the Mustard Seed Thrift Shop have been giving socks and other clothing items to the homeless for years. We are expanding this ministry and organizing a space that will also include personal care items. We now gratefully accept small hygiene products and
especially men's crew socks year-round. Please drop these off with Dn. Kathleen.
Thank you.
Here is Jerry Meter, your All Saints Treasurer,

totally relaxed and not worrying about the bills to pay!
Good evening, friends!

World Vision's 2018 30-Hour Famine is almost upon us. As a sign of our commitment to seek and serve Christ in all persons, the youth and I will gather at All Saints' and together we will go for 30 hours without food, beginning our fast at noon on Friday the 25th of May, and ending it with Holy Eucharist and a shared meal with family at 6:00pm on Saturday the 26th.

In the meantime, we are raising money! In the developing world it takes just $30 to feed, clothe, and educate a child for an entire month. For that reason, we ask that our friends, family, and members of our congregations sponsor us for $30, one dollar for every hour that we fast, to send to World Vision to help combat child poverty throughout the world.

Fundraising has never been easier than it is today; where once we had to wait for checks or cash in the mail from relatives who were far away, now we can simply and securely raise funds online that go right to our group's contribution. You can make a participant page at
https://youth.worldvision.org/team/20422 and start sending your own unique donation link out to anyone you think might be able to pitch in.

Everyone ages 12 and up is welcome and invited to join us. Even if you have a medical condition that makes it unfeasible to go 30 hours without food you are still more than welcome to join us for Famine activities and educational segments, and leave to eat if you have to. The point of the event isn't showing how great we are for going without food; it's growing deeper into community with God and one another and helping to build a better world for all our brothers and sisters.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask. I will be sending out more instructions about what to do to prepare, what to bring, and what to expect as we get closer to the event.

Thank you, everyone!

Searching for ....

Did you borrow our 10-12 foot step ladder? If so, no worries, but we need it to change some light bulbs. Also, we know that tools and ladders can be borrowed, please just let Judy Clark or Cris in the office know what you need and when it will be returned.
Thank you for your cooperation!

A Prayer for Special Guidance
Almighty Lord, source of all knowledge and loving kindness, bring your grace upon the  All Saint’s Search Committee as we discern the needs of our parish in finding a new priest to serve as our Spiritual guide. Give us ears to hear, open hearts to feel, and clarity of vision so we might see your light. Shine your light upon us and grant us courage to move forward for your Honor and Glory. Let us all work together in your spirit of love for all who make up our All Saints’ community. We ask this For His Sake, our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen
