All Saints Day Service: 9:30 a.m.

We will gather as a parish for one service only at 9:30 a.m. followed by a parish-wide potluck brunch on Sunday, November 1st, our Patronal Feast Day. Don't miss it!

Attention ALL SAINTS!  That is every one of you.

We now have our memorial altar in place in the back of the Church.  Please bring pictures or mementos of your saints (departed dear ones) to place on the altar.  Our saints will all be kept in a special place in our hearts and prayers as we celebrate the Feast Day of All Saints and Feast Day of our Church. Remember, we the living, will feast at the potluck after the service.  You might want to make or bring a food item that “your saints” made, or loved, or you enjoyed.  It would be a lovely way to honor them, and delight the parish.

Hello Everyone,
Your Children's Ministry Coordinator here. This past weekend I had the privilege of attending a Godly Play Training at Trinity Cathedral. The training was the third part of the Core Training and was centered on liturgical stories.
I have now completed the Core Training of Godly Play and am fully certified as a Godly Player.

Veterans Day Work Party

We welcome your help on WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 11. We are having a work party in order to clean out the former youth room so that it can be re-purposed for regular use.  If there is ANYTHING in that room you would like to have, please remove it & take it to your regular storage space.  If you do not have storage space at the moment, please TAG it and put it against the wall on the hallway floor.

Anything still in that room on November 11 will either go to the Mustard Seed, Goodwill or a dumpster.

ECO-FAITH NOTES

"If God became flesh and entered this world in Jesus, then the hiding place of God is this world, in the material, in the animals, in the elements, in the physical. These are the hiding places--and the revelation places--of God!"
 Richard Rohr, OFM
Presiding Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori:

I am deeply grateful...
The Episcopal Church has come a long way in the last 10 years.  We are no longer consumed by internal conflict over various social issues.  We are clearer about who we are – a multinational church, with congregations in 17 nations, worshipping in countless different languages, thriving in international, immigrant, and multicultural contexts everywhere, and discovering the abundant life that comes in turning outward to love the neighbors nearby and far away.  We are far more conscious about our vocation as partners in the mission of God to reconcile and heal the world, particularly shaped by the Five Anglican Marks of Mission.  We are holding our identity as Episcopal Christians a bit more confidently, even in the midst of our diversity.  We are also more willing to hold that identity lightly and gracefully in engaging other Christians and people of other religious traditions, searching for what we dream of in common – shalom, the Reign of God, a more just and peaceful world, with abundant life for all creation.
I am deeply grateful for what God has been up to in the midst of our journey together, and I look forward to seeing how this church of the middle way will continue to lead and partner as we travel the road home, into God’s fullest dream of abundant life for all.  I thank the people of this Church and beyond for your prayers over the last nine years – especially in recognition that we do this work together, never alone.  May God bless the next chapter of The Episcopal Church’s engagement in God’s mission, as we go together into Galilee!
