Annual Meeting / New Board
First we would like to thank everyone that cast their vote and also to all of those that came out to the annual meeting. We are looking forward to the upcoming year as some great changes are brewing at the CCC.
Next we want to thank Luba Brock and all her hard work serving on the board this past year. Thank you for your service.
We want to congratulate the 3 members that were re-elected, Wayne Fleming, Greg Gallagher and Carl Thompson. We also want to welcome Tracy Heuermann to the board. These 4 along with Jeff Baird, Darryl Horsman, Carol Ann Naso, Mike Siggins and Shawn Tait, will serve as the board for the next year. Positions will be elected by the board at the next meeting on July 11 at 5:30pm. All members are welcome to attend.
Summer Projects
Thanks to everyone who donated to our light project. With all your generous offerings, all of the lights have been paid for. Now we just need to install them. That leads us to the Summer Projects!!! Starting on Sunday, July 17th, after the last rock of the Hotter Than Hell has been thrown (and we have some fun on the ice, bring your skates!!) we will start with the light project. We will need several people everyday, starting in the morning and continuing into the evening, (so if you can't make it until after work, please drop by). There will be all kinds of jobs that need to be done on the project, and a high level of skill is NOT required, so please help.
Then starting on Monday, July 25th, we will be removing the ice. We will need people to push squeegees and vacuum/pump up the water every night after 5 and all day Friday and Saturday (the 30th and 31st).
Once the ice is out and the sand is dry, we will continue the light project. There are also plans to finish off painting the warm room, finishing the kitchen floors and installing permanent bumpers and boards in the ice shed. Calls for help will continue to go out each week, with a list of that weeks activities. So please stop by, lend a hand and hang out with your curling friends throughout the Summer.
Hotter Than Hell
Registration for the Hotter Than Hell Bonspiel, continues until July 1st. The bonspiel will be held on Thursday, July 14th (2 draws in the evening if we get to 32 teams) until Sunday July 17th and we still have room for a couple of teams, so head to the website and get
signed up!! Participants can join us for some curling, the Chili Cook Off on Friday and the Pool Party on Saturday!!
