THIS WEEK at the Coyotes Curling Club:
Level 1 Instructor Training Class - Saturday / April 8 (9am to 4pm)
With the Winter Olympics around the corner and the increased interest in curling, be prepared to help by getting your Level 1 certification. Cost is $50 for members and training will include approximately 4 hours of ice-time and 4 hours of classroom training. There may be time for some one-on-one instruction or practice at the end of the day. Lunch will be provided (or you can bring your own if you prefer). Learn How to Prep the Ice - Wednesday / April 12 - 6pm
Laura Tait, CCC's own Certified Ice Technician, will provide instruction on how to scrape, clean and prepare the ice for curling before our next Women's League game on Wednesday. Come out and become part of CCC's ice crew!

Registration for the
last set of leagues for curling year 2016-17 is set to open at
noon on April 15. The following leagues will be available:
- Monday Men's Semi-Competitive - May 1 - July 10 - Cost $250 (10 games) - Team and Individual Registration (looking for 4-5 teams)
- Monday Women's Semi-Competitive League - May1 - July10 - Cost $250 (10 games) - Team and Individual Registration (looking for 3-4 teams)
- Tuesday Championship League - May 2 - July 11 - Cost $250 (10 games) - Team Registration only
- Thursday Mixed Competitive League - May 4 - July 6 - Cost $250 (10 Games) - Team Registration
- Friday Social League - May 5 - July 7 - Cost $225 (9 games) - Pair and Individual Registration

Desert Ice - April 20 - 23, 2017
The 12th Desert Ice Bonspiel is just a couple of weeks away! Organizers are still looking for
volunteers to help with food contributions and auction donations. For auction items, we would appreciate receiving: sports memorabilia, sports tickets, rounds of golf, restaurant gift cards, gift basket items (non-perishable), wine, artwork, jewelry, or anything

2nd ANNUAL Coyote Cup - May 20 - Registration Open
The Coyote Cup is a one-day, fun bonspiel for all CCC members. It's the Continental Cup on ice! Players are drafted into two teams:
Team Red and
Team Yellow. Points are scored by teams winning games in the four draws throughout the day. This year Team Yellow is led by: Coach Darryl Horsman and Team Captain Tracy Heuermann! Team Red is led by: Coach Shawn Tait and Team Captain Luba Brock! Sign-up fee is $50, with a two-game guarantee. Participation is
limited to the first 60 Coyote Club members who sign up.
Get your registration in - spots are going quickly!! Participants are able to sign up as an individual or as a pair. Pairs will be drafted together for Team Red or Team Yellow. Both players signing up as a pair must submit a separate registration form and include the name of their paired person on the form.

Hotter Than Hell - July 14 - 17, 2017 Registration Open
The Hotter Than Hell Bonspiel is an open bonspiel. This is the 4th year of our Summer Bonspiel. It's a great way to "cool off" so come on out for a little curling in the desert in the summer and take advantage of great summer resort and golf prices in the desert. LEARN-TO-CURL EVENTS:
Our
Corporate Learn-to-Curl events are critical revenue-generating opportunities for the Club. Please consider helping with instruction (another good reason to attend the Instructor Training clinic this Saturday)!
Following are upcoming Corporate LTCs - we need 6 instructors and 6 helpers for each event:
- Tuesday - April 25 from 12:30 - 5pm (Morgan Stanley)
- Wednesday - April 26 from 2:30 - 6 pm (Town of Gilbert)
- Thursday - April 27 from 2 - 5 pm (Hillphoenix)
The next
public Learn-to-Curl sessions are scheduled for:
- Saturday - April 29 from 4 - 7pm
- Saturday - May 6 from 11 am - 2pm

NOTE-WORTHY EVENTS for CCC MEMBERS:
Spring Cleaning at the Club!
Our Building Committee is asking all members to remove or safely store any personal items that you may have left around in the club’s common areas. A clean-up brigade will be going through shortly - all items found piled, stacked or strewn on top or near lockers will be collected and held in lost & found for two weeks. After that, no guarantees of retrieval are made! Thanks for your help in making sure our club remains neat and tidy!
Pacific International Cup - April 19 - 23, 2017
The 18th Pacific International Cup will be held at the Richmond Curling Club, BC, Canada. Arizona will be sending two teams: MEN's: SIGGINS Team: Mike Siggins, Adam Endicott, Carl Thompson, Tom Dukerich and WOMEN's TEAM: DEVLIN Team: Marnie Devlin, Tracy Heuermann, Beki Nowlan, Megan Groh.
