Annual Meeting / Picnic

This year's Member's Annual Meeting and Picnic will take place on Saturday, June 18th.  We will start at noon with a special meeting to amend the by-laws, then the annual meeting at 12:15pm, along with board elections and then followed by some snacks and games!!  If you are a member, that has paid your annual dues, please come and join us.  Check out the flyer for info on the fun and activities

Also, we are looking for people to run for the board.  We have 4 spots that are up for election and each will serve a 2 year term.  If you are a member of the club and wish to run for the board, please click here, complete the bio form and e-mail it to Shawn - shawntait@coyotescurling.com. Bio's are due tomorrow, June 3rd.
 

Leagues

Registration for the next 4 week Wednesday league opens tomorrow at 11am.  The details are:

Wednesday League

• Beginning 06/15 and ending 07/06, Wednesdays 7pm-9pm, registration deadline end of day Friday 06/10.
• Open League For Beginner To Experienced Curlers Consisting Of Any Combination Of Male And/Or Female Players
• Individual, Pair & Team Registrations
• Teams Of Individual And Pair Registrations Formed By Skip's Draft With Skips Selected By The Leagues Committee

Donor Brick Wall

As many of you know, we are very close to completing our “Donor Wall” which will be installed on the west wall of our warm room, above the concrete ramp.

One of the aspects of this Donor Wall, will be the integration of many 3” X 8” acrylic plates or “Bricks”. These plates will have the donors name laser etched into the plate and then the name will be filled with black paint.

Each plate will allow for 18 characters per line and up to two lines. These new Bricks will have a donation cost of $500 per. If you purchased one in the past you are grandfathered in.

We did an initial production run of 25 plates. We have sold 20 with 5 plates left to buy. The first 5 people to buy them, they will be installed in the first installation in the near future. (Before the club shuts down for the summer). We will do additional production runs and installations whenever we reach quantities of 5 or more.
 
On another note, part of the Donor Wall will have larger, thicker acrylic plates that are 3” x 14” and allow for 30 Laser Etched characters. These plates start with a contribution of $1,000 to $4,999 for a Bronze designation, $5,000 to $24,999 for a silver designation and for $25,000 or more, a gold designation. We have 5 of these plates available for the initial beginning installation. Currently 35 of these are spoken for.

Lighting Project

We are up to 49 of our 95 lights!!!  So keep them coming!!!

This summer, we would like to improve the lighting inside our ice shed and go green!!  To do this we are looking to buy 95 LED light fixtures, to be installed this off season.  The cost of each light fixture is $60.  In order to help with the costs, we are looking for individuals to "purchase" a light or two.  Or for companies to help us with our sustainability project we are willing to provide in club, multi year advertising opportunities and/or a free Learn To Curl for your company depending on your level of sponsorship! This is an excellent way to help a charity and community become a little more green!
