Dear friends and colleagues,
It has been a month since we launched Luminare Group and we are moved by and grateful for your feedback. One of our philanthropic colleagues shared, “The website is beautiful, powerful and compelling. Kudos to you and your team!”
A consulting colleague shared, “I admire your determination to ensure that evaluation is value-driven, not just data-driven. I was already having a career crisis before the election, and now it’s imperative to address. I do too much work that doesn’t truly advance equity and justice. There’s no time to waste. Your Luminare Group offers an inspiration.”
It is important to us to be an inspiring force, both virtually and in the day-to-day work we do. What makes this work possible is the exceptional team with which I have the great honor to work. Each of Luminare’s women-powered team members:
- Bring decades of multi-dimensional experience across the philanthropic and social justice sectors.
- Recognizes it is privilege to be of service and come to the work to make long-lasting, effective impact.
- Are fun, funny and wicked smart. This work is hard and serious. We find joy and laughter with each other, and our clients, in service of our shared aims.
Many of our team members reflect long-standing working relationships. In some cases they are former clients - they know the value of our work and approach intimately. Our newer team members bring unique skills, new perspectives and fresh energy, creating an even deeper bench for our new platform. We are excited to introduce them all and will be shining a spotlight on one team member each month in upcoming newsletters.
It will be a little harder to find me over next few weeks as I am on my annual holiday. I look forward to being in touch in May. In the meantime, blog posts are coming and the Luminare Group team is deep in good work.
