THE SPORTS-LUXE LOOK FOR SPRING
Sports Luxe - the word sport allows this trend to be casual but the luxe bit allows me to mix it with some glamourous pieces. Hobbs NW3 Collection has a relaxed and easy feel and it's great quality, chic and versatile. The Lola Bomber Jacket is my pick of the bunch. In bold Persian orange, it's elasticated trim to the neck, hem & cuff give it that sporty appeal but the coated padded texture takes it away from the gym and out with my heels. I'm wearing it here with another NW3 gem the Amara Skirt - a statement piece ticking the monochrome/tribal trend but beautifully tailored, so it fits like a dream. The heels up the tempo but this orange bomber will invigorate your entire spring wardrobe including your boyfriend jeans.
I love this dress. It comes in both black and cream and is by Californian label Velvet. It's sold in one of my favourite boutiques The Laundry, in Wells. Again, a sporty number. Easy to wear jersey material, long sleeves and a drop waisted skirt in faux leather (thats the luxe bit!). High maintenance cream?! Not at all. This dress is machine washable and will see you through Spring & Summer. Layer a neutral cashmere over the shoulders and team with tan boots for a lunchtime date, or school run it with the bomber jacket and high tops, as pictured above. High Summer it will look perfect with bare legs, converse and a denim jacket. This dress lifted my spirits and made me excited about my Spring wardrobe!
