Join us on July 1 as we celebrate Canada Day the Durham Way—an uplifting, virtual celebration of the communities of Durham Region.

This first-of-its-kind event will feature an exciting lineup of local performers and family friendly entertainment including:

  • Juno award winner Jack De Keyser
  • The President’s Choice SuperDogs animal trick show
  • Three-time Juno award nominees Sultans of String
  • Country artist Leah Daniels
  • Children’s entertainer Jungle Jack
  • Live animal features from Soper Creek Wildlife Rescue
  • Steel pannist Aaron Roberts
  • Doug the Great (World Record) Stilt Walker

The livestream will also feature shout-outs from local celebrities and representation from each municipality in Durham Region—celebrating the region’s diversity and heritage.

Monday, June 29, 2020 – Friday, August 28, 2020 from 9 am to 4 pm

Schedule subject to change due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

The long awaited news is real. Camp is happening. There may be a rush of sign-ups so we recommend you book your child’s place as soon as possible.

Due to the restrictions being placed on the opening we will only have 5 children in each room, with one counsellor and one helper in attendance. There will be far fewer spaces for children in summer camp this year.

Westben Launches its First Digital International Performer-Composer Residency

Westben Centre for Connection & Creativity Through Music is bringing new music to audiences in a new way this season through its online International Performer-Composer Residency Program. The program has been re-imagined for COVID times and will now feature workshops and performances involving over 60 participants from around the world in a virtual collaborative environment.
