St. John's Farm Animal Save holds a weekly vigil at Country Ribbon slaughter plant. These are images from their August 26 vigil. "These poor babies were frightened as they arrived. Some were clearly injured and some were taking their last breaths.
What horrors had they endured just so people could eat their tortured bodies? Within hours the truck left empty."
Manitoba Animal Save did their first ever banner drop on September 7. Many people driving down a busy road saw messages for animal liberation: "End Speciesism," "End All Animal Oppression." Please watch.

Leo Tolstoy defines the duty to bear witness as: "When the suffering of another creature causes you to feel pain, do not submit to the initial desire to flee from the suffering one, but on the contrary, come closer, as close as you can to him who suffers, and try to help him."

Climate Save Movement is partnering with Extinction Rebellion and Amazon Watch for this Boycott for Amazonia: Disruption of Destruction event on September 13.
Details and RSVP: event page
"We, united citizens of Planet Earth, condemn the actions of the Brazilian state, the Brazilian agribusiness lobby (Bancada Ruralista), and other criminally inactive governments and neo-colonial extractivist corporations throughout the Amazon Basin for their complicity in ecocide and destruction of the Amazon Rainforest, for the murders of environmental defenders,
and for the cultural assimilation and genocide of Amazonia’s Indigenous peoples. As a movement of movements, we call upon every human with a conscience to boycott, divest from and sanction the governments and companies responsible for this destruction, to economically disrupt them and demand an end to their ecocidal and genocidal activities."

Bearing Witness Around the World

Hyderabad Animal Save bore witness to aquatic animals at a fish market: "We may find it difficult to empathize with fishes and other aquatic animals since they are very different from humans physically, they live beneath the water, and we cannot perceive their vocalizations. However, numerous studies have shown that fishes have the capacity to suffer and feel pleasure, just like mammals, birds, reptiles and other animals. Fishes suffer pain and seek out positive experiences."
Please watch: Seoul Animal Save gave these cows some love just before their unjust end. "Animals want to live and sniff around. Today is their first day out and the last day of their life."

Whanganui Animal Save report from their September 8 vigil at Land "Meats" slaughter plant: "This magnificent animal, through no fault of his own, will have his throat slit tomorrow morning. He will be selected from the pen, possibly beaten with a pipe or bamboo rod, and goaded into the chute that leads to the stun box. He will be hungry and terrified, and not one person will say a kind word."
Save organizers from three continents gathered for a meeting at the International Animal Rights Conference in Luxembourg. The conference ran September 5-8.

Montijo Animal Save report from their September 1 vigil: "These are images of hundreds of animals that were in the 19 trucks at our 11th vigil. The only certainty in the lives of these animals is the date of their death already planned. The only ambition and desire they have is to live like any of us. But they have no choice. They don't have the right to it because they are seen as numbers."
Ballymena Pig Save held their first vigil on August 29 at Cranswick Country "Foods." Gary Graham attended and reported: "My heart broke this morning 💔 The sentient beings in these photos will be dead by now. Suffocated in a gas chamber where they scream and thrash for their lives before being strung up and stabbed in the throat 😢 How can we justify this? Together, we can stop this violence and cruelty."
