Save continues to grow all over the world! We now have 656 Animal Save groups in 69 countries listed on our website. We also have 97 Climate Save groups in 38 countries and 24 Health Save groups in 16 countries.
PORTUGAL Save Movement activists Francisco Brandão and Yolanda Santos are on an organizing tour of Madeira. Yolanda reports: "This trip to Madeira was the second part of a tour that began in January in the Azores. During these two weeks we gave 7 lectures in different schools that were very available and interested in hearing about activism and speciesism.
We also hosted the Dominion documentary screening, did 2 VR events, supported the student climate strike, gave interviews and hosted a two-day workshop for local activists. We did our first vigil in Madeira and it was really inspiring for all of us. It was the first time that those activists were with live animals such as cows and pigs and in front of a slaughterhouse."
Please watch: They report fromFunchal Animal Save's first vigil at the Santo da Serra slaughter plant: "Let's make it normal in our society. Let's invite people to join a vigil and bear witness with us."
The Climate Save Movement's core message is: Help save the planet by going vegan and becoming active. The climate change crisis is upon us, and we must urgently rise to mitigate and reverse it.
The Climate Save Movement is building a grassroots movement to solve the climate crisis by ending animal agriculture, reforesting the Earth and phasing out fossil fuels.

Škofja Loka Animal Save report from their March 14 vigil: "Today we witnessed individuals on their last journey. But we did not even have the opportunity to say goodbye to most of them. We wanted to tell them that we are so sorry, that we care to see them, feel them. We just wanted to say goodbye."
Sussex Animal Save held a demonstration at Tottingworth Farm on March 16 against the lambing event, which took place next to a slaughterhouse. "We encouraged customers to recognise that these baby lambs who will be comforted by many local families, will also be killed at this slaughterhouse. How can we love an animal but pay for them to be killed for food?"
On March 25 they held a vigil at Morley Farm, where they bore witness to "cows, calves, sheep and pigs, as young as 5 months old. They will now be killed against their will, because of consumer demand."
Watch: Guayaquil Animal Save bore witness to cows about to enter the slaughter plant. "They don't want to die. We ask them to forgive us foR what we do to them."
Save Movement Montevideo held a vigil on March 24 at the Carrasco slaughter plant. Activist Carolina Cajes reports: "We were able to witness the arrival of 7 trucks and about 350 sentient lives -- dairy dairy cows, calves, etc. After a life of complete suffering caused by human beings, ego and greed, their story comes to an end."
Toronto Cow Save report from their vigil with special guest James Aspey: "Thank you to James and everyone for joining our Tuesday morning vigil this week! James is known worldwide for his effective activism for animals, educational talks, and most recently for running for parliament in his home country of Australia. He has a huge social media following and has helped so many to become vegan."
Manitoba Animal Save held an Anti-fur Protest outside The Bay. They report: "For hundreds of years, The Hudson's Bay Company have been promoting the abuse of animals through the fur trade."
Please watch and share: Pigs in distress are seen about to arrive at Fearmans slaughter plant during a Toronto Pig Save vigil.
Vancouver Chicken Save have restarted truck stopping, which they stopped when Hallmark "Poultry" leased the alley where trucks used to come in and barred the public from it. They report: "The two truck drivers we interacted with were so cooperative! We were able to get some very impactful footage and bear witness
peacefully and safely. We all held tulips at today’s vigil to pay our respects to Bao Min Cheng, a Hallmark worker who died at the age of 52 of a heart attack after a 13-hour shift" Truck stopping during vigils will now be carried out on Saturday and Wednesday mornings.
2019 Women's March From Fearman's Slaughterhouse
May 12, 9 am – 2 pm. RSVP: event page
We will start the day with a vigil for the pigs. After bearing witness and leaving flowers and messages for the babies trapped inside the slaughterhouse, we will start marching to a park in downtown Burlington. We are marching to show our solidarity to the nonhuman females that have been oppressed by a patriarchy.
We aim to increase awareness and action so that all feminists include animals in their circle of compassion. Female animals are forcibly impregnated over and over and again until they are 'spent' and then sent to slaughter. These mother's have their babies stolen from them in order to satisfy human greed.
Guadalajara Animal Save report from their March 30 vigil for the pigs: "He trembles with fear and stress. Join us to give them the only kind touch and only words of love to these babies. Your choices determine their future."
Welcome Macon Animal Save in Georgia. Find them on Facebook.
Newark Animal Save bore witness to cows and goats at American Halal "Meat" on March 28. A cow is seen seemingly dead on the floor.
Please watch: Hatfield Pig Save held an impromptu vigil for the cows on the road. "On the drive home we noticed a truck parked. So we asked the trucker if he was OK with letting us spend some time with the victims. He was very respectful and let us have time with them."
Toronto Pig Save started in December 2010, with a promise to the pigs of doing a minimum of three vigils and vegan outreach events each week, all year round. We bear witness as a community of pigs, cows, chickens and other farmed animal victims in slaughterhouse trucks. The animals want us to be present and, with the most pleading eyes, ask for our help when we see them through the portholes of transport trucks. Just as if we were in those horrid trucks, we would want the whole community to be there fighting for our freedom, liberation, rights, and equality. In a way, we are there. All life is one and, “when (wo)men wish to harm others, they really do evil to themselves,” Leo Tolstoy said in his animal rights story “Esarhaddon, King of Assyria”. It’s our positive duty and obligation to act in the present to try to stop the most egregious injustices before us.
"When the suffering of another creature causes you to feel pain, do not submit to the initial desire to flee from the suffering one, but on the contrary, come closer, as close as you can to her who suffers, and try to help her.” – Leo Tolstoy
In 8 years, The Save Movement has grown to over 650 Save groups in 69 countries around the world. Our dream is to have regular vigils at every slaughter plant worldwide. We regularly give seed money to new Save groups and require funds for literature, posters, subway ad campaigns (iVegan.ca) and vegan outreach events.
Make animal liberation your priority in life! Think of 10 kind things you can do each day and encourage your friends to do the same! Join us and participate in our weekly vigils, start a Save group in your community, and be a regular donor.
