SAVE'S ANIMAL RESCUES
In more amazing news, Montevideo Horse Save helped rescue Valiente, who was exploited for years but is now receiving the care he needs: "Valiente was used to load firewood. For years he was a worker with no more pay than a little water and food. When he was injured in one of his hind legs, his exploiter left him die without water and food as if he were a broken machine. Thanks to an anonymous call, Montevideo Horse save went to look for him. We went to see him and he is recovering, eating a lot and is able to keep standing. After weeks without food and water this is super positive and is due to people who are involved in saving lives. These photos are from the day we rescued him and took him to the University of Veterinary Medicine for treatment and recovery."
We believe 2020 and this coming decade is decisive in determining our prospects for planetary survival. By tackling animal agriculture we can reduce methane emissions, a potent greenhouse gas which has a short life span in the atmosphere. Its half life is 10 years compared to CO2 which is 100 years. TheClimate Save Movementis building a grassroots movement to solve the climate crisis by ending animal agriculture, reforesting the Earth and phasing out fossil fuels. Help save the planet by going vegan and promoting vegan #FoodSystemChangeNow! The climate crisis is upon us. We must rise up to mitigate and reverse it.
Please welcome our new chapters: Asia

Animal agriculture is a key source of greenhouse gas emissions and the leading source of ocean dead zones, deforestation, mass species extinctions, and excessive water use. The Climate Save Movement’s mission is to end animal agriculture and to reforest the Earth. Join our Planet V$ Cargill campaign to protest this ecocide and bring about the urgent plant based revolution. Animal, Climate and Health Save Movements are organizing a global day of action against Cargill which will take place on March 21!
OUR MISSION Health Save Movement aims to show how veganism can prevent and reverse diseases related to animal products consumption, enhance food justice, and decrease spending on the health crisis.
Please watch: Ankara Health Save's “Raw Vegan Workshop” was filmed and broadcast by Turkish Radio and Television on prime time. Vegan Dr. Mutse Yağcı was our guest to explain the health effects of plant-based food.

ISRAEL Israel Animal Save report from the port, where the death ships continue to arrive: "Again and again we meet the victims of live exports -- sometimes blind, sometimes bloody, sometimes falling onto the lorry floor to be stomped on or even crushed by their companions. These are pictures everyone can identify with." Please watch.
Melbourne Cow Save & Collectively Free - Kulin Nations held a Valentine's Day outreach on February 8 at the popular Bourke St Mall. They report: "We have vegan chocolate samples that are available in IGA supermarkets, health food stores and cafes, and appear on the Food Empowerment Project's list of options made without worker exploitation and child slave labour."
Brisbane Animal Save has exciting news: "Our new billboard has gone up in Fortitude Valley, asking the public to 'fight climate change with diet change'! The new billboard campaign has been made possible by the generosity of donors. We want to try keep it up for as long as possible, to have the maximum impact, so please chip in a few dollars if you can! And if you can't chip in, please share our fundraiser! Keep our climate billboard up!"
Rostock Animal Save & Schwerin Animal Save held a vigil on February 15 to protest the "Slaughter Fest," which they describe as "the annual slaughter festival takes place at the district agricultural museum in the village of Mecklenburg. There, an already slaughtered pig is scalded in front of hundreds of people - including many children - the bristles are removed, the body is gutted, cut in half and then examined by a veterinarian. The whole process is moderated in a 'relaxed, amusing way' by the master butcher himself."
On February 9 Animal Save Italia, Rimini Animal Save and other Italian Save groups held a performance protest at the port of Rimini "to make the silent screams of the marine creatures heard." Please watch.
Please watch and share: Malta Animal Save & Animal Liberation Malta held their monthly vigil at the Marsa Public Slaughterhouse on February 12.
Tarragona Animal Save report from their February 12 vigil: "Today, after months of visiting this slaughterhouse, we were able to stop a truck for the first time. We have seen babies a few months old about to be killed. The faces of these babies are the faces of the lamb that you so calmly eat. Lives taken by whim, tradition and comfort. We will never forget you, little ones."
Linköping Animal Save report from their February 14 vigil at the HKScan slaughter plant and from their outreach in town: "So many beautiful persons had their lives taken. About 800 cows can be killed on an average day a stone's throw from central Linköping." Watch video of the vigil here.
Manchester Pig Save held their 4th Anniversary (All Day) Vigil on February 6 outside the Tulip "Meats" Ashton slaughter plant. Please watch: they bear witness to innocent pigs on the truck.
ARGENTINA Buenos Aires Chicken Save report from their February 14 vigil at the Cresta Roja slaughter plant: "Remember that activism and outreach are essential for the truth to reach more and more people and justice can be done. So that no sentient being is considered an object or food again, let us pronounce without hesitation our antispeciesist words, always. For equity between species. For the abolition of animal slavery."
PERU Lima Animal Save bore witness at the San Pedro slaughter plant on February 9. "Someday, not too far away, this society will look with shame at what we do to animals every second. Someday slaughterhouses around the world will be full of activists demanding rights for animals."
Please join us for special vigils to speak up against Bill 156. The Ford Conservative government is trying to quickly push this bill through before anyone is even aware of it. If passed, this bill would make it illegal for you or I to take photos, video, or expose the suffering of farmed animals.
Animal agriculture already, almost entirely, hides what is happening to animals from public view and this law will push their suffering even further into the darkness. Ag-gag laws such as this, in the U.S., have been stuck down as unconstitutional. Join us to be their voice and say No!

Say NO to Bill 156!
We had a great turnout on February 16 for the Roaring Silence Against Bill 156 protest & march. Hundreds of leaflets were handed out to warn the public about this dangerous bill that would keep Farmed animals even further in the dark and at the mercy of those who want to hide them.
Canadians are speaking out against the Ford Government’s Bill 156. Check out stopbill156.com to sign the petition, learn more and get involved in stopping this outrageous bill which would effectively ban bearing witness in Ontario!
Red Deer Animal Save bore witness on February 9 at the Olymel slaughter plant. Alberta Vegans Unite joined them and released this video of the pigs on the truck.
Guelph Cow Save & KW Animal Save report from their vigil on February 12 at the Cargill slaughter plant in Guelph: "We successfully stopped and bore witness to eight trucks, one of them carrying dairy cows who were still lactating. There is nothing humane that happens in the 'dairy' and 'beef' industries. Families are separated and bodies are exploited. Their bodies, their lives."
