Joaquin Phoenix speaks for mother cows and the planet at the Oscars: “We feel entitled to artificially inseminate a cow and when she gives birth we steal her baby... and then we take her milk that’s intended for her calf and we put it in our coffee and our cereal.” The Guardian published the speech in full.
Watch CDMX Animal Save's livestream: they rescued 16 pigs from a the site of a transport truck crash. One of the pigs didn't survive, but as you can see in this video, the rest are doing fine - sleeping! -- and will live the rest of their lives in sanctuary.

She's a fighter and underwent surgery, from which she emerged a free and happy feathered friend. She will now live her life at Santuario Compasión Animal.
We believe 2020 and this coming decade is decisive in determining our prospects for planetary survival. By tackling animal agriculture we can reduce methane emissions, a potent greenhouse gas which has a short life span in the atmosphere. Its half life is 10 years compared to CO2 which is 100 years. TheClimate Save Movementis building a grassroots movement to solve the climate crisis by ending animal agriculture, reforesting the Earth and phasing out fossil fuels. Help save the planet by going vegan and promoting vegan #FoodSystemChangeNow! The climate crisis is upon us. We must rise up to mitigate and reverse it.

The Climate Save Movement’s mission is to end animal agriculture and to reforest the Earth. TURKEY Istanbul Health Save report from their Health Streets event on February 8: "Yesterday we served vegan soup on Bahariye Street, Istanbul. We had the opportunity to talk to nearly 30 people about veganism and why it is our responsibility to change our habits. SOUTH AFRICA The Save Movement Johannesburg & Johannesburg Climate Save held a Peaceful Vigil for Pigs on February 5 at the "Pork" Packers slaughter plant. They report: "We were outside 'Pork' Packers where baby piglets are sent to death by being gassed ... thrashing in desperation to live ...before having their life taken from them, sometimes while fully conscious. Does this seem fair? Normal? Right? It’s certainly not necessary for our survival, so why on earth do we continue to consume their flesh?"
Bhopal Animal Save went inside an egg factory farm on January 29. Please watch their report. "This is what a large scale battery farm looks like in India."

Colombo Animal Save held their first vigil at the Colombo Manning market on February 9. They report: "Mornings are busy at the market. We walk through the vegetable and fruit stalls. The air is still fresh. the veggies are stacked in colourful piles and they smell good. A few yards away though, the atmosphere changes. We are hit by a foul smell of dead animals, faeces and blood. Trucks drive in with live chickens crammed into boxes."
They held their first vigil on February 3 at the Vion slaughter plant in Emstek. They report: "60,000 lives, every week. We won’t close our eyes, we won't run away, even if it’s hard. Our demand is a #FoodSystemChange and untill that is done, we will continue. We will keep moving forward, keep growing in solidarity, keep creating a system which is based on love, where we support each other and be there, right there for everyone in need."
Thessaloniki Animal Save report from their January 30 vigil for cows: "These mothers are visibly distressed, in the dirt and still running milk from their breasts, milk they could never give to their babies because humans use it for profit! After being fertilized again and again, after having their babies stolen one after the other, they now go to the slaughterhouse to become 'meat.' Most people would not consciously harm an animal. And yet people's day-to-day choices trigger this whole cycle of abuse."
Ljubljana Bird Save report from their January 27 vigil outside the Perutnine Ptuj slaughter plant: "We bore witness to the last moments of more than 1,000 innocent creatures who were slaughtered in the following hours: sentient and innocent 42-day-old turkeys. Please don't turn away. These are the victims of your habits, which are not necessary. Choose compassion, become vegan."

Animal Justice: Ontario “Ag Gag” Bill is Unconstitutional, Say Leading Legal Experts
"Dozens of Canadian law professors and constitutional and criminal law experts are sounding the alarm over Ontario’s Bill 156, Security from Trespass and Protecting Food Safety Act, 2019. According to these leading experts on the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, the government bill would infringe individuals’ rights to freedom of expression and peaceful assembly. The so-called “ag gag” bill would make it illegal for whistleblowing employees to expose animal cruelty on farms."
Check out stopbill156.com to sign the petition, learn more and get involved in stopping this outrageous bill which would effectively ban bearing witness in Ontario!
