Auckland Animal Save's vigils got great exposure with this article by Radio New Zealand: The New Zealanders holding vigils for chickens
"The primary purpose is to bear witness to these animals and to recognise them as individuals. When people go to the supermarket and see chicken, they tend to think of it as a product and not as an individual. We're here to break that divide."

They held their first Health Save Streets event on October 26, which consisted of giving out healthy vegan food to those who are in situations of social vulnerability. "They are the ones who end up eating the least healthy food and we give them healthy plant-based and delicious food so that they and other people see that you can eat healthy easily and cheaply and thus help animals, the planet and their health."
OUR MISSION Ditch Dairy SAVE Lives aims to encourage Save groups (existing and new) to hold vigils outside of dairy farms or factories incorporating outreach. Groups can also do outreach outside of establishments retailing large amounts of dairy products.

At Cows Come Home Farm Sanctuary in the U.S., the residents had some pretty awesome humans hanging out recently. Spencer Tyler: "The good vibes were felt everywhere. April, Allie, Aubrey, Ghost, Kong, Louie, Lucas, Mia, Miley, Raven, Shay, and Stanley chose their human(s) and chilled for however long they decided. We never know who will step up, step in, step back, or step out because it's all up to them, not us. And it's an honor to witness each encounter unique in its own experience. This special space is theirs, not ours."
Indore Animal Save held their first vigil on October 20. They report: "On our first vigil, we visited two very small dairy farms with 4-5 cows and their calves. Our goal was not to investigate the place but rather talk to the farmers who are in this cruel system. We were there with love in our hearts for all farmers. We don't want to blame or shame anyone because everyone is part of a huge system which is designed in a way to normalise and hide the violence."
Wellington Animal Save held a Labour Weekend Slaughterhouse Protest on October 25 near the Taylor Preston slaughter plant. They raised awareness of eating meat and consuming dairy, and the presence of the slaughterhouse, and also asked people to think about a kinder compassionate lifestyle during the holiday period. Please watch.

Örebro Animal Save report from their October 17 vigil and protest outside the Närkes slaughter plant: "Today we stopped a transport truck and managed to get a picture from inside. The driver gave us the finger, drove towards us and hit the horn for a minute, but eventually stopped. Some manager came out and barked at us and talked about mutual respect.
But throughout this year we have repeatedly asked for them to let the transport stop for a minute so that we can quietly say goodbye to the animals. We have nothing personally against workers at the slaughterhouse, and want to show as much respect as possible to people on the spot, but we will never ever respect or become friends with the death factories' activities."
Zurich Animal Save held a Friday Evening City Vigil on October 25. They report: "We brought the pictures of our vigils to the Old Town of Zurich. We shared the stories of these countless individuals and their far too early violent end with the world."
Sussex Animal Save held a "Close Down Tottingworth Farm Slaughterhouse" vigil on October 6. They report: "Today we held a peaceful demonstration outside Tottingworth Farm to protest against the slaughtering of non-human animals.
We have been attending this slaughterhouse and bearing witness every month for over two years. In May, Tottingworth slaughterhouse stopped slaughtering pigs which has fuelled the activists to try to end slaughter at this location altogether."
Buenos Aires Chicken Save report from their October 18 vigil at the Cresta Roja slaughter plant: "Estos preciosos seres tienen apenas 45 días. Especismo es pensar que deben morir para satisfacer nuestras violentas tradiciones, siendo solamente bebés."

Long Island Animal Save held a vigil at Hempstead "Poultry" Market on October 19. After a moment of silence to honor the victims, we all spoke a few words to inspire one another in our efforts of peace."
Newark Animal Save had an outreach table at the Cranford Street Fair. They report: "There were so many people that stopped by our table (vegans and pre-vegans alike) that were not familiar with Animal Save Movement so it was great to be able to share our mission with them. The majority of them were also not aware of the slaughterhouses and live markets that are located within such a close proximity to their communities."
Louisville Pig Save report from their October 27 vigil at the JBS slaughter plant: "Today we witnessed over 1,000 pigs transported to their death at a systematic killing factory reminiscent of Nazi Germany. They are thrown together with strangers the night before they are gassed! Throats cut open so their beating heart pumps their life blood out of their healthy young bodies.
They are discriminated against at best but routinely never even seen! They are not machines! They want to live! They hold value in and of themselves!"
