(children and youth need to be accompanied by an adult)

Our New Bookkeeper

Beverly Bond has served us so well as our Bookkeeper and part of our staff team. First for Elora UC and also Elora-Bethany, then most recently for Hope Springs UC, Beverly has ably tended our financial record-keeping, made sure that our bills and staff are paid, and provided good wisdom and helpful information so we could make important decisions. We are very grateful. Thanks Bev!

Recently, Beverly decided that for personal reasons she needs to step away from this role.

Our Official Board and Ministry & Personnel committee are pleased to announce that Jim Fairles has been hired as our new Bookkeeper. He will also serve on our Official Board’s Stewardship committee as our Treasurer. Jim will begin on February 13.

Jim is part of our Hope Springs congregation. He will soon be retiring from his position as a Client Services Veterinarian at the University of Guelph. You can find out more about him here:

Lent Movie Group

The Gospel of John

John’s Gospel is the final account of Jesus in the Bible. It builds on the earlier witnesses of Matthew, Mark, and Luke, and was born from a lifetime of experiencing and reflecting.

Who is Jesus? What has he done? What life does he give to us?

These are some of what we discover within its pages.

Now the Gospel of John vividly comes to life in this faithful and powerful dramatisation. The film re-creates the era of Jesus during a tumultuous time that changed the course of history. It is based on the Good News Bible translation, narrated by famed Canadian actor Christopher Plummer, and stars Henry Ian Cusick as Jesus.

A small group of adults with input from the children and youth are working on a Time Capsule for our new church family.

Right now we are in the planning stages.

Greet people coming to worship

Run the tech system on Sundays
Prepare refreshements for after-worship fellowship time

Visit folks on behalf of the congregation
Be on the Children's Worship (Sunday School) team
Help lead Youth Group
Prepare the bread/juice for Communion
Serve Communion during worship
Count and record the Offering
