It seems as if fall is slowly but surely making it's way to our part of the country. A lot of the trees in my yard have turned and there is evidence of trees beginning to turn in the forest and in other parts of town as well. Originally we'd planned to be in Montana this week but after missing so much work due to the evacuation we decided to cancel our fall trip this year. Still, it is gorgeous right here at home so I'm not complaining.
This week is Mega Cozy Mystery week. Be sure to check out all the fabulous books on sale. My book for the event is Resort at Castaway Bay: Lost and Found. You won't want to miss this one and it's only $.99 until September 26th. (US and UK)
I've decided to add a falltastic section to this newsletter from now through Halloween so be sure to scan down to find recipes and decorating ideas.
Speaking of fall, and of course Halloween, I want to remind everyone that I have a Halloween Page on my website. You can access the Amazon page for any Halloween book by simply clicking on the cover of the book you are interested in. https://www.kathidaley.com/copy-of-halloween-page-1

Falltastic recipes, crafts, and decorating ideas in each issue from

My sister, Christy Turner, who writes the Emily by the Sea blog, which is included as bonus content with the Castaway Bay Series, made these adorable scarecrows out of nutcrackers last year. Basically she simply purchased unfinished nutcrackers from the craft store and then painted them to appear as scarecrows. The hats were created from felt and applied after cutting off the tall hat that came as part of the nutcracker. The pumpkins, brooms, and signs were all decorative pieces picked up along the way. I love how each one is so unique and different.
She volunteered to make one for me this year since I am not at all crafty. I'll post a photo when I get mine. If you are the sort who enjoys crafts, decorating ideas, and recipes, you'll enjoy Christy's blog, which as mentioned, can be found in the back of each of the books in the series. Christy is also in the process of developing an Instagram page dedicated to decorating and craft ideas. I don't have a link yet but I'll post one when I get one.
